it works in lives matches also.

Admitting I tried it after a teammate cored the back of my mech to red in the first 30 seconds (Jenner) ran around outside for a bit and then ran back in and promptly died by enemy fire.

this needs to be fixed before it get exploited by ERLLs, PPCs, Gauss or just people using it as a way to get around the battle and into other positions around the enemy.
