I have to say Hawken is about dead on steam because the devs made it a P2Win game with no social interactions and MWO is about in the same boat I think if PGI puts MWO on steam it will have a short shelf life because to me its a unfinished unpolished game and any new player knows this fact in just a hour of game play.

Even if CW is finished it most likely will be a shallow rehash on what is already a boring grind game with no true meta.Me and my family that play as a group and friends are already moving over to a awesome fun PVP game WarThunder where the devs do make it a AAA MMO online experience with this last patch the game excels at game fun and competitive PVP.

Moving over? heck most have been there, done that, and got bored. Was ok till most of the WoT crowd went there. Its ok, but gets stale all just the same.

i love Conan ip like the clanner kids who want their mech op so yeah you cant reason with me on that =)

I think I can reason with you on it actually: The game was doomed from the start to be a generic fantasy MMO.

Everything that makes the Conan universe interesting is centered around Conan, and a lack of magic being common, which out of the gate kneecapped an MMO set around it.

Really the best use of the IP would pretty much be in the Devil May Cry / God of War genre mixed with RPG elements, not an MMO. Or something like The Witcher would work, too.

Going on steam with the current state of the game means a miserable gameplay experience for both the new players and the experienced ones. It also reduces the average age of the player base by a significant amount... which means more rubbish in the chat... more QQ... more suiciders... more afks... more bad things!

I think PGI first should design a complete tutorial system teaching the weapon and control mechanics. The tutorials should be as punishing as possible... not sugar coated shoot here, shoot there ones.
A new player MUST pass the tutorials in order to play online.

Also having a level with invincible AIs murdering the player with ggclose messages helps alot with preparing the new players mentally... with an objective like: "try to survive more than 60 seconds"

As long as we don't have a "CB to OB" transition like we did previously with the game shifting directions and moving away from tactical to twitch I think it's a great idea. Tons of new players, but lets not alienate those that have been with the game for nearly 3 years this time. K? please & Thank you

So no bans from Twitter?

Steam... that is what maybe 1-2 years from now? As long as the game is keeping its healthy pace of improving and the die hards keep buying mech packs I dont see them switching prematurely unless there is a REAL need to capture a new audience.

The last thing they would want is to introduce a whole new level of instability between the player bases. Forum wars all over again is not pretty. Especially at how most of the new playerbase is unaccustomed to this type of gameplay ship wont be steering in a solid direction as was most of the case until now.

They did mention that NPE will be looked into after CW as well as UI2.0. They want to complete the game for the core audience first then work on those because grumpy core audience means a bad experience for new players.
