Lets go back to strictly Jump Jet AC/PPC Meta only.I will never understand why people endlessly complain about LRMs. LRMs are pretty much ONLY effective in pug matches and are largely useless in group play (if you want to win a match). There are always exceptions but I never see LRM heavy teams win the majority of matches. Ever. Shoot most of the time they don't win more than 30% of the time if I had to guess.

Challenge is to high for one day. I played with a friend for 3 1/2 hours and didn't get to the half way point. 200 points is way to much for one day.

Odd, since I only see LRMs in-mass in group play. 90%-95% of my deaths by LRM are in group match. When the whole team packs LRMs and spotters, this means dying in under 5 seconds every time. It's the one point where the game feels unplayable, where you know you truly have no chance in the world.

There should be only one point be rewarded for spotting ... if you need to redistribute these 2 points, add them to VICTORY !

if this challenge "eats" a full day of gaming for you, I truly am sorry for you, I am horribad at this game mostly and I took about 2 hours to get this. MAYBE 3 (This response applies to both quotes)

good to remove narc/tag bonus...
this jsut screwed the game in other challenges before. only lrm boats and their spotters has been there. no its more different.

take a look at the queue, its almost even in any weightclass and there is no lrm fest like it has been before.

good move pgi!

now tell that fricking matchmaker that he should split the ECM mechs to make even matches and not drop every ecm mech into one team..... *hate*

Gotta agree with the people who think the reward is a bit on the light side, due to how Premium time works. If it was banked by default, it wouldn't be an issue, because we wouldn't be spending it as soon as we finish the challenge. Lots of people are going to be signing off when they finish the challenge. If they sleep and work they are already down to 8 hours left without ever using it.

Perhaps PT shouldn't be used as a reward at all, since it is supposed to be a revenue stream. Personally, I'd rather just have C-Bills since thats the major limiting factor to mech customization, it takes a long time to earn them, and the cash price for C-Bills is ludicrous.

I am not just talking about this weekends event, but over all here.

To ensure proper game play for each game mode the scoring system should be different!
Obviously Skirmish, is a kill them all mode. and your current scoring system is just fine for that.
But it just doesn't work for Assault and Conquest.
Most game's that I have been in turn into a Skirmish because there is no real incentive to play the game mode as intended.

You need to have a very high point value for capping and defending the bases in Assault.
This will give the players incentive to play the game mode, an not just try and kill everyone. it requires more strategy then brute force.

You need to apply the same concept to Conquest mode as well.

I believe that if you applied these ideas to the game it would dramatically change the game for the better.

If your going to do events that start on a Friday at 10AM Pacific wouldnt it make sense to announce it at least a day before instead of at the time the challenges start?

Wow Paul.. if it will nerf a light, you'll do it won't you?

Last weekend's tourney points formula was bad enough on Lights, but now you have to mess with a formula that gave Lights a chance.

So much for Role Warfare.

People like this ^^^^ are ruining the world. How about we go back to the old no challenge weekend, do not pass go, do not collect reimbursed time and cockpit items which usually cost real world money... and then complain some more

STOP BEING SO UNGRATEFUL!!! Next time say ..."Thanks PGI! You constant sales, almost weekly challenges and new found transparency with the community is rocking."

If this entitlement attitude in the world continues, I hope a big freking meteorite hits us soon to end this pathetic existence.

Why challenge should be any different than regular play? There is one role in this warfare - damage dealer - its how you do it differs. Thats ofc not ideal, but thats the deal.

I'm normally all for stuff that benefits lights and mediums, but this change needed to happen...

I mostly used a COM-2D while working the challenge yesterday on my lunch hour, with TAG, narc, BAP, and a sole streak-2 to practice narcing (I can't even call it boating since I'm terribad at it, I just figured the challenge reward would compensate a bit). I was getting between 25-40 challenge points each drop even though I was feeling next to useless out there, getting like 10-15 match points and sometimes less than that. The TAG/narc messages were even popping up even when I was pretty sure my narcs/TAG were ECM-blocked, and I suspect they counted for the challenge too even though they weren't all "real" tag/narcs helping people hit targets. It doesn't surprise me that they had to pull the plug on the original setup as the tag/narc tracking seems to be bugged.

I switched to my bread and butter KTO-18 to finish the last 23% of the challenge, and played a good 2 hours of Conquest pug drops after hitting the target as penance. ;-)

BTW, PGI rocks with all the challenges and free stuff lately! o7

Losing tag/narc wasn't so bad since spotting is worth so much. I only had enough time to squeeze in one drop in my spider 5k and I scored 39 points with 1 kill some assists and some spots plus victory. So still perfectly doable in a light. Much easier than trying to get 1 kill 8 assists and 450 damage in a spider

You are taking the piss right? got over 75 points (only won one game) in less then an hour and I am a poor player, yesterdays event took me about 10 games all told so mate you and your friend are doing something VERY wrong indeed here.

By the way Thanks PGI great events am enjoying myself alot these last 2 months, keep up the good work and ignore the never satisfied whiners.
