You forgot Arrow IV homing missiles.
Mech Mortars.
Long Tom.
Mech Taser.
Chainsaw.
Drill.
Claws.
Axe.
Hatchet.
Spear.
Blade (Assassin!)
Sword.
Tree (yes, you can hit mechs with trees).
Dismembered limb.
Charge/RAM.
Punch.
Kick.
Hook.

And that's just a tiny fraction of the mechstuff without getting into all the tanks, helicopters, aerotech fighters/bombers, naval bombardments, etc. Don't forget infantry with SRM-1 launchers up in the windows and rooftops of buildings.

My favorite is the Mech Taser.

Would you like to add special munitions to the list?

I didn't include the weapons that are already available within the timeline (forgot to remove the BLazer) since this was specifically about advancing the timeline for new weapons.

Also didn't include OS Launchers and Melee for obvious reasons, except for Rockets, because the Mekpaks made them interesting and decent.

Considering the fact that, since we decided to skip 3039 era in favor of advanced tech of the clan invasion, we've already screwed up balance?

Yeah how about we make sure that what we currently have is in a good place before we go adding crap that will just cause more balance issues?

we still dont have Arrow IV's and we have guided IS lrms which were made from the guidance mechanism in the arrow IV. so..... its already borked.

dont need to add them all at once but a few more for flavor would be nice, some experimental tech would be nice. make it expensive make it overheat and explode idc i just want more weapons and machines :)

You know what could be really awesome?

If they're going to run CW in seasons where everyone shoots each other until one side shows dominance... why not have each season be a different time period? Game could start out as Clan Invasion, next season could be the Jihad, next season could be War of 3039, next season could be the Reunifcation War. Limit technology depending on the era, and just keep seasons from lasting too long so Pilot X doesn't have to be separated from Mech' Y for an extended period of time. A 3025 season could make so many 'Mechs relevant. Solo would remain untouched. Have Mackies mixing it up with Archangels. "Killing you with yesterday's technology today."

Heh for that extra challenge, I've started running stock load outs, or official versions that are time line correct.

Twin HAG 40 DWF? Yes please.

(no)

Hmm. How will that be different from a gauss-based LBX40? Well, two of them? Possibly even not firing instantly, but over a small period of time, like UACs do.

Doesn't sound all that OP to me all of a sudden since you can already load up 4 LBX20's if you want. (though why anyone would...)

( please note I am not advocating I want them in, I'm genuinely curious )

They were closer to UACs than they were LBX. The ability to dump that much damage at a greater range than even standard Gauss was a boost (even though it had worse rolls on the cluster table at long range).

I don't think they will be that powerful in this game, but they sure would feel like an awesome weapon, I mean rotary gauss with 720m effective range, what is not to love?

My favorite mech game was still Mw2 Mercs because of the fact it had IS tech for a while, then clan waves and you adapted. That was the most "authentic" experience I have had of BT in a MW game. I played the others sure, but MW2 mercs keeps bringing me back.

I do not mind the story line until pre-darkages. The early stuff is great but some of the later stuff is good too. I just kinda hope they go the War Thunder route of having different age drops and different scenarios, even if that means we cannot always use all we want in the CW map.

At the very least they need to try and get the rest of the IS variant weapons out.

Ultra 20/10/2 autocannons
LBX 20/5/2 autocannons
ER small/medium lasers
Streak 4/6 missles

I would like to see Light Gauss/Machine Gun Arrays/X-Pulse lasers at some point in the not too distant future.

i agree! its time to get everyone on the bandwagon by making the best game asap instead of milking the hardcore fans for another several years.
