New player question...

I got a chassis I'd like to sell but want to be sure I'll keep the mech bay and I'd like to keep the equipment that came with it since I'm using the engine and some of the guns on other mechs. How's this work?

Thanks fella^^

When you sell a mech, you will be prompted with a few options, one of which is to not sell the attached equipment.

This includes the engine, weapons, heatsinks, and electronics. (that won't be sold, if you select to not sell the attached equipment).

When u click sell you have an option to sell with or without equipped equipment, if u want to keep the engine for example you would say no.

You keep the mech bay and it is just empty, u can then put any new mech in that bay

The above, but if it makes you feel saver, there is a 'Strip Mech' button in the mechlab. I usually use it as well before selling

This is the best advice. It prevents you from hitting the wrong button and selling stuff you don't want to.

If you have cockpit items remove them manually. Strip never seems to work for them and I have never tried selling a 'Mech with any in it.
