When my win/loss makes the Maple Leafs look good, teams are lopsided. On top of that, as time goes on and 'improvements' are made to it, my record worsens. In the last 3 days I have been in maybe 3 games in about 8 hours of playing that weren't stomps, and many of them were blatant routs. So here is my solution, reset (or remove) elo, and revert the matchmaker back to pre launch settings. Including doing away with the horrid 3/3/3/3 thing as for the times that I want to use heavies or assaults, including the heroes that I have spent more money on than I would for any non-mmo game without waiting for an extended time in the queue.

Man, this is just sad. Always have to find a scapegoat. In the old days it was "hacks!!" now it is "zOMG matchmaker sucks".

Players are hardcoded.
Need to look away from the matchmaker if you wanna avoid rolls.
You'll never eliminate them, but you'll never ever ever achieve the myth of "balance" without absolutely neutralising every weapon and mech to the same level, even then, you'll still get steamrolls.

Communication, teamwork, and the barr of play needs raising.

Matchmaker problems are one of the symptoms, not a cause.

Well they did actually provide a somewhat better match maker, then is was removed because of complaints about not wanting to do a certain game mode.

I have been getting rolled to the point at the beginning of the match I type I’ve been getting rolled

So I had to step up my game

1) I got out my best Mech (it has one side pew pew the other sided dakka dakka)


2) left off the LRMs (the other teams would send out an assassin to kill me off) I think I know why comp teams don't use them much they are too much of a pain to use, you’re looking at your reticle waiting for a lock they can just run over the hill and kill you

3) I started giving orders (#1 don't let the Atlas run to the front and get killed)

Yea it happens man, sometimes you just lose the team lottery. You can put a pugglefish in water but you can't make it swim. We need in game voice chat so pugging isn't like the blind sheep milling about.

I feel your pain. 2.5 hours last night with assault I had 2 wins. Got to the point I didn't care one bit about anything in the game. Every game I was in the complete noob team with people that had sub-100 damage. Got ot the point I was praying my ELO would drop like a rock so it would stick me with the premade instead of against it. Nope.

matchmaker is as bad as in wot. matches are decided before they even start. 10 losses in a row, all stomps. and that although most people are playing skirmish because of the event. but in a light or medium that is not ecm lorngrange sniper or has broken hitboxes (spider, firestarter, jenner, stormcrow) your just deadweight and have no influence in skirmish.

just disable elo, all it does is dragging the players stats down with predecided matches. its useless in soloqueue. just turn it off.

You know its actually possible for people to do 900+ damage and the team still loses right?

The matchmaker puts top end and bottom end players together to make a matching ELO, it doesnt care about the groups of ELO only that the end result is close.

o yea even is possible to loss with 4 players have done 700 damage.
it's not the amount of damage what matters but the precision.

This is exactly what happens, MM decides if you win or lose and unbalances the teams to ensure the result, no player participation is actually required, makes the game pretty pointless.
Also seems that once you are tagged by the MM to get the shaft that's predominately gonna be your experience, wonder why the player population is so low.
Stick this game on steam with the current match making and watch this game once again get ripped apart!.
Elo and the current MM needs ditched and fast, right now its the most unbalanced and unfun i've seen it, and i'm losing interest because of it.

Like i said before, you can polish a t u r d as much as you want, its till a t u r d.

Keep in mind: there are no teams in the pug queue anymore. As for getting rid of Elo? Sure, I miss the days of winning 80% of the time instead of 60% of the time.

What else can I blame it on? Game after game I'm near the top on damage/kills while the rest of my team does jack, always several have sub-200 damage.

Just want to point out something about the match you posted. See the star next to the third player on the winning team? Means someone took command.

Now, whether or not the enemy had a little bit of coordination, I can not say. But even a little bit of comms to coordinate can go a long way.

I agree that there is something really wrong with the mm system at the moment. From the last 25 games I only managed to win 6.

I'm contemplating throwing my elo into the trash purposely too see if my mm situation will improve. Because quite frankly I'm just tired of losing and if a low elo will help bring back some fun into the game, then so be it. I can't think off any other way out of this hellhole.

(was it the solo in a group queue or perhaps everyone getting under 100 in every match?)

Some matches MM assembles are no fun to play while some others are really great, hard battles that end with 12-9 or better. One team sometimes got clearly inferior players to the other. Its at a disadvantage from the start. Or players that dont pay full attention to the game, start two minutes late or just generally derp up.
Neither enjoyeable on my team, nor on the other. Basically one team starts out 2 or 3 down. Not impossible to catch up and win but it gets much harder for the rest to do so.
Rolls are a problem inherent to MWOs game design. Once a team is behind some kills it just gains traction and they fall behind even faster as more players on the team thats ahead can focus down players on the other team. Nothing to be done about that.

Something needs to be done to help MM to not place 3+ derps on one team and one or less on the other.

I had the star in a few games and never took command, just got it somehow.
Solo is like the lottery and as long as my w/l stays positive it still could get worse.
That screenshot above is business as usual. Heres another one from a few days ago. Could show much worse than this but I only have screenshots from the last 200 matches or so that I took for statistics on map selection.
