For 35 tons, you get the choice between the Ember and the Huginn.

Is it really a contest?

All the more reason for hardpoint restrictions. :P PGI would make a killing profit by doing it.

At the moment, here's what I have on the related topic:
Note that these are meant to come with an overhaul on weapon scales to make them match up across mechs (so the MG size of a Raven and an Ember would be identical, the AC/5 size between the two would also match, and packing in a UAC/5 is gonna be a huge addition to your hitbox).

Look at this craziness!

You'll notice neither can do things like the Gauss Rifle, leaving room for us to get the Hollander. :)

Now Jenners. Includes variants not included in MWO.

If the Huginn had energy points in stead of ballistic points I would have bought the mech the instant it came out. GMs with out energy back up is just bad. The mech is ammo dependent. GMs cannot strip armor. The ammunition for both the missiles and the GMs waste to much tonnage. In short I would rather have a jenner D

That won't make the mech good.

It will always be mediocre. Just like the WubShee.

I see some dire wales struggling to get a three figure damage score, does it make it a bad mech no..

I loathed the huginn when I first ran it.

now its mastered I miss it

at the end of the day its what you think and if you have fun with it

I'm a dedicated Raven pilot and I own the Huginn. It's definitely the worst of all my Ravens. If the Huginn is good, then the 2X and 4X are just awesome killing machines.

As has been pointed out already, it's basically a vulture. It does well when others strip your targets for you. With SRMs, you have practically zero ability to strip armour on specific components. You're just spreading damage all over your target. And the MGs do the same. You may find a juicy rear torso that has been stripped to <10 armour, but in that situation, any light mech is deadly.

I really wanted to like this mech, because I'd been praying for a hero Raven with jump jets. But it has the worst hardpoint combo imaginable for the current meta. AC2s are useless, so it's not like you can experiment with different builds. It's MGs+SRMs or go home.

I wonder what quirks they'll give this one.

I love my locust 3M, and can get decent scores with it, its still a terribad mech lol and I dont mind saying it, quirks may change that but who knows. I also like the Oxide, but again the F is just better. There really are poorly optimized and laid out mechs in this game, people arent being mean by saying it lol.

Huggin is fun. You have the speed to be the anoying little back kicker. People often ignore mine untill the realize the srms are doing damage.

You're right dude, Huggin is a great mech.

These guys just don't know how to pilot it to maximize it's potential.

In fact, when the Devs did the Tier list for ALL IS MECHS the Huggin isn't even on the list!

That's because it's so awesome, if they put it at it's real tier they might have to nerf it.

When the rest of those crappy lights are getting their quirk buffs, the Huggin will be standing tall because it doesn't need any handouts.

Guys, the Huginn isn't really hated... <_<

It's just... bad. Particularly for a Hero mech. A standard variant is more forgivable in being deeply flawed, but the Huginn's only available for MC. It's practically Pay To Lose, even though, as people keep showing, somebody always seems to make it work for them. And that's great, that's part of what makes MWO so fun and awesome.

That's all, really. We're not trying to be mean or anything for stating this. If you think otherwise, I don't know what to say.

Russ mentioned in his thread that the Huggin' (misspelled on purpose) is T5.

As much as I hate to say it the devs are wrong on this one.

It's way better than T5, honestly if they buff it I think it will be truly OP.
