It doesn't matter if you are surrounded by family and friends with a feast or whether you are keeping watch over something dear to you while enjoying an elegant turkey sandwich from the nearest dépanneur... We would like to wish our fellow Canadians, whether at home or abroad, a Happy Thanksgiving.

Please note, Monday is a Canadian federal holiday. We apologize for any inconveniences as a result. I'll be sticking around with more sandwiches, just in case the server hamsters fall asleep. A few other staff members might pop in just to check up on things.

We would also like to wish our American, Argentinian, Mexican, Venezuelan, Uruguayan, Costa Rican and Bahamian neighbors a happy Columbus Day / Discovery Day. I am well aware that these holidays often bring out the historical sensitivities of many. I'd kindly ask that we refrain from heated or abrasive discussion and take those to places better equipped to accommodate and appropriately moderate discussions in history, sociology, civics and politics. All nations have things to be proud of, and all nations have issues to still make right. In the end, we're all still human. :)

There are a few things I'd personally like to mention that I am thankful for, and many others I could list if I had all night...
  • First and foremost: Our fans; Without you, MWO could have been a spark without fire.
  • The PGI Team, for their dedication & welcoming me aboard many months ago
  • The scientists who created over-the-counter cold/flu medication: I know not who you are, but you are the wind beneath my wings right now.
  • SJR & Siriothrax for the gift of cake last month.
  • Marvyn Dodgers for the gift of fruit and chocolate last week.
  • For the players who embrace, encourage and resonate the ideals of sportsmanship, mentorship, teamwork, good-will, tolerance, and love of the game.

Who or what are you thankful for?

I'm at work all night. Time and a half plus a paid 8-hour stat day for tomorrow. Ka-ching.

So you give a shout out to Canadian Thanksgiving, Colombus day and whatever the heck Discovery day is. Yet I didn't hear a word about Lief Erikson day. I am disappoint.
