Yes! Add knockdowns! So I can keep pounding the mech on the ground with my AC's instead of having it run into cover.....

Yes! Add Knockdown! So that my LRMs can squish my targets into the ground from afar!

(Even *I* say that's going a bit too far...)

Knock down would make sense for the lbx, it seems pretty useless in all it's forms, with the exception of legging lights

Knockdown from collisions added a lot of depth for lights. It really should be back because otherwise they are a little OP (especially now that they start grouped up).

Knockdowns from weapons should only occur from AC/20s. Heavier mechs should be immune from knockdowns although chicken leg mechs should be rated as lower weight mechs for the purpose of knockdowns.

Melee and knockdown. Then we can seriously talk.

I mean, how about a Banshee picking up a Jenner and tossing it away sounds?

we have reverse knock down. I hate being in a slow assault and having a light move infront of me and {LT-MOB-25} block me driving speed to zero. He just "knocked me down"

How about a Commando giving the Banshee a falcon punch right in the [redacted]?

Nothing happens. In fact, the Commando might end up losing his arm.

It mostly added faceplants for lights, though you could see that as a form of depth. If we had deformable terrain the Jenner could make a nice deep crater with that nose.

If by "depth" you mean "grief", then yes, yes it did. I learned quickly to stay at least 50 meters away from ANY 'mech, friend or foe, or I'd spend more time watching helplessly as my 'mech ponderously tried to stand up than actually playing.

It needs to stay the hell away until they figure out a way to make it less griefable.

Yes, they're certainly "a little OP". That's why there's seldom even double digits of them in the queue. Not like those poor underpowered heavies and assaults you don't ever see in a match anymore. Just lots and lots of lights.

If you wanted knockdowns from being hit, the TT rule is that you have to make a piloting roll if you take more than 20 damage in a turn. Four medium lasers melt of just as much tonnage as an AC/20 burst sloughs off.

You see, it's not the impact that forces the piloting roll, it's the loss of roughly a ton of armour that makes the 'mech struggle a bit to regain its balance.

How about we start with a nice collision system that doesn't consist of rubberbanding like mad.

If they added knockdowns back, the mech thats ramming should have considerable recoil after knocking down another mech. Maybe also a 2 second delay before it can start moving.

Knockdown an enemy? Both of you cant move, he's getting up, and youre checking yourself for a concussion.

Knockdown went away because it didn't work properly. I don't want that knockdown back ever. If they were able to implement it successfully? IDK, maybe.

Collisions would be a nice topic of discussion for the next town hall meeting. Would like to hear Russ's thoughts on it past and possible future.

I'd definitely want it back, with melee attacks added too. I want my Charger.
