Just ordered the Elite pre order and it didnt give me a way to select a mech. Look at my email and it says I have the atlas. I dont want the atlas. How can the billing system assume that everyone wants a atlas? Anyone else have this problem?

When you click the buy now button there should have been a popup window that let you select your founder mech. But I wouldn't worry too much about being stuck with the atlas. The devs have talked about looking into switching your founder as a one time thing after beta or something.

They talked about switching in the "Russ Bullock taking questions on Founders now" thread.

You can also try to contact them directly & let them know what happened, so that you don't have to use your 'one time switch' just to get to the mech you thought you wanted.

Jenner, Hunchback, Catapult and Atlas are the 4 possible mechs you can choose from

I heard from another buddy, he almost had the same thing happen, but he noticed his brower blocking a popup. Might have been the issue? I don't use Chrome, so I don't know how it works in that regard.

Yeah, it seems that if the pop up is blocked, it just defaults to the atlas. That's worlds better than either not giving you one or giving you a Jenner (the first on the list).

The Jenner is fine. Stop thrashing it. I picked that as my founder mech.

Anyway, I use Chrome and the pop-up came up for me correctly. It probably is your pop-up settings.

Was going to pick the Jenner for my Elite package, but my wife said "And you wouldn't find a use for the other Mechs too? LOL Get the Legendary instead...."

But will be driving the Jenner ALOT anyway!

Didnt mean to diss the Jenner, it's just that it's the one people are picking least often. They defaulted to the one that more people are picking, which was a smart coding decision on their part.

There's also an issue that if you visited the site, selected a mech, but didn't continue the process, it saved the mech to your account. Then later if you came back and completed the purchase process the window didn't pop up, so there's that too.

Gotcha, ScrapIron. I didn't mean to come off too offended (if I did). :) I love the small, fast mechs. That is what I played back in the glory days of Multiplayer BattleTech: Solaris on AOL. Does that date me too much? :)

Stupid question, the Legendary's didn't have to choose any, just defulted to all?

I mean, clicking four may have been more confusing than not.
