Boy you all want a very boring game don't you?

I mean anything that makes the game more interesting and more dynamic seems to be unpopular. I mean while we are at it lets remove the graphic for lasers because when they hit your cockpit it is hard to see. I know lets remove cover because it is inconvenient not having a clear line of sight when I am trying to shoot an enemy.

I mean honestly don't you all realize how vanilla and boring the game would be if different weapons didn't have different effects? I mean I use a UAC/2 on one of my support mechs for the sole purpose of using it for suppression. I have even backed off a Dire Wolves with it because the constant hit and shake panics them and makes them look for cover. This is a valid tactic that makes the game interesting.

Anyway, the game you all want to seem to play is a game I would quit in an instant. I absolutely don't want everything easy mode, bland and uninteresting.

Lots of win in your post. I agree with ya. Next there will be a call to eliminate the heavy sound effects as being distracting for game play. Bahah. I swear if I ever get the cash I will make a Mechwarrior a full blown SIM so we can start to weed out the those lovers of all things arcade.

And turn off the other sounds. All that stomping and whirring is way to noisy and detracts from the immersion factor. ;)

I also hate how the game doesn't have auto aim like console games do. We need to add a bit of "snap-to" auto aim. That's only fair and appropriate.

Screen shake is most unpleasant - and rightfully so. It gives you a good reason to avoid situations that cause it.

Leave the screen shake in. Don't turn this game into some vanilla arcade EZ mode time waster.

Really are you seriously asking why your cockpit shakes when your torso gets rocked.

There's this thing called physics; it causes tanks not to shake when hit by MG fire. Tanks don't even shake when hit by RPGs (which are often enough to destroy them). The Atlas is a massive beast of tonnage and should act as such. Shoot it with an AC/10 or AC/20 in the torso and your head should shake. Nothing less should shake it.

You get a brief second of screen shake when the 50 point PPC+Gauss alpha hits you...but god forbid someone with a couple of ac2s or 5s gets a bead on you.

Honestly, some of your arguments are ridiculous.

"Avoid those situations"

More great advice from players who apparently never get shot, but who will also jump into threads to scold people for not knowing how to twist as well as they can while under fire.

Take advice from the forum pros with a grain of salt. There's a segment of them who act like they're never under anyone's guns.
