Centurions, they just don't die

Onions are really good at spreading damage, highly underrated mech.

The AWS-9M after they added the quirks. Been working on the mastery xp this morning while premium time is flowing and having matches like this when I get a favorable map for brawling:

1. HBK-4SP
I remember a grand day when I held off two atlases with half a torso of small lasers and srms
Or when I killed 3 people with only my small laser head

2. NVA-S
Loses legs and arms constantly. Keeps. On. Trucking.

The Hunchie 4P is my absolute fav for stock mondays. Join us tonight at 9pm! I run my awesome very similar with a mix of wub and srms. Awesomes are quite the beefy tanks now with quirks. Just don't play long ball as you're too wide and exposed. All that surface area is great for twisting off damage, but lousy when snipers get a bead on ya.

My stalker 3F...I cannot count the number of times I wished I had at least a medium laser in the ct to keep on fighting. Oh, and my old Cent.

I love my 4P too. 12 tons of wub with incredible heat efficency. I can handle 3 consecutive alphas (36 damage), even on hot maps.

Not sure why - but my Founders Hunchie has been incredible at tanking damage lately. I have even found myself running out of AC20 ammo before losing my RT quite often.

I used to have some Stalkers that did well with this, but they were mostly LRM boats, i was new, so didn't know how to use them effectively in long matches...will have to look back into them now.

For me now it's often my SHD-2K or my CTF-3D. 2K loses an arm or two most matches, leg sometimes, yet keeps plugging, due to high speed and lots of twisting, using those arms to take what my XL won't survive. XL in the 3D as well, so i get center-punched mostly, and I think it startles people when they expect it to go down and is still blasting them with shotguns as my CT gets chewed apart. 3D arms also seem to last a ridiculous amount of time, it's like people don't realize a 3rd of the firepower is in them.

Think the lowest I've gotten was around 18% in my 2K, still alive, still with weps.

Seconding the Highlander comment...for having a lot of tonnage and armor, those things get taken out quick, torso twist or no..again, people center punch, which allows me to live a little longer, as they aren't expecting the XL, but arms aren't quite big enough to protect the STs from the side, so if you aren't facing the opponent shooting you, you're likely dead.

The first mech I bought, The GRF-1N. Many a time I have lost all armor except for the head's, a side torso or two, a leg (some times) and all my weapons as well since they are all on the right side. So I have now perfected the art of meat shielding for my team mates and have won matches alive and well with "just a flesh wound" :D

Hunchback 4G, QKD-4H, and CN9-YLW

Those Mechs are pretty tough and just don't die. Sometimes I feel like they're almost alive, giving me everything they've got because they just refuse to drop.

Warhawk, Stormcrow, Summoner, and, surprisingly, the Adder. All three seem to roll damage like a champ. Summoner makes sense, too, given it has a flat torso, large arms,, and generally has a Thunderbolt-esque design.

Misery.

Edit: Conversely, any Ember or Spider on me has a 80% chance of practical immortality no matter what I drive or wgt kind of night I'm having.

I think you'll find the Stalker 3F lacks the CT energy slot.

That aside I'll agree with you, Stalkers sure are tough. Most games I'll go through both side torso's before going down in a blaze of lasers. Misery seems especially tanky

Hence why I said "wished" ;)

Shame I don't have the c-bills to equip my Misery, though... :(

I think for shear tankiness, out of all my mechs the VND-1SIB takes the cake. That thing has been reduced to 10% HP with an XL engine equipped and kept on trucking, multiple times in fact.

Not since before HSR and hitbox 'fixes' to the Cent have I seen a mech that simply refuses to die, let alone an XL equipped 45 tonner..

Cents, but I had one of my Kit Foxes go down to 14%.

The Centurion with a standard engine, of course. When the bonus reward one hits I'm going to name it BRAAAIINS, I think.

MY Stalkers always seem pretty durable. My Orion and Thunderbolts are great survivors as well. I would assume my Atlai would be like that if I played them more.
