against melee combat in MWO. MWO online mechs do not move like people and are not implemented in a way that lets them move like people, unlike mechs in TT. I think in a best case scenario it would look like Rock'em Sock'em Robots or a punching nun puppet, if you've seen one of those. Also, if a mech can punch then for me it raises the question of why it can't then lift its arms to raise those hardpoints in an attempt to gain the height advantage of mechs like the Jagermech. I have this hilarious mental image of 24 mechs running around with their arms sticking strait out--zombie mechs indeed!
I'm not saying the idea is intrinsically bad, just that it doesn't work unless the game is built from the ground up to make it work smoothly, as in the case of games like Chivalry, mentioned above.
