I propose this.

Let us lend other players mechs, and have them appear as a trailmech for that player, so they can use but not modify the mech.

So say we select the mech, hit lend, pick someone from our friend or unit list, and then choose how many days we lend it for, you ofcourse cannot use your lent mech atall while someone else has it.

They can then use the mech, modules and such included till the time runs out, but have no ability to modify said mech.

So the rich guy with multiples of every 'Mech can suddenly outfit his entire unit with fully-upgraded 'Mechs? No thanks.

Each pilot should earn their own stuff.

Maybe, but lend 1 at most at any given time, perhaps only for an hour. When I drop, just me and a mate, it would be a nice option if we could swap mechs. It gives a fresh way to experience other peoples build preferences beyond just viewing a Smurfy card.

They could limit it by making it like 20mc per a lending or something, and make a tidy profit at that.

In anycase what would it matter? it'd come down to some people having exceptionally good trailmechs to use.

People learn more when they earn things themselves.

I can almost immediately tell by viewing a Smurfy build whether or not I will like it. I don't even have to pilot it. I wouldn't have that ability if I hadn't learned what I liked to use and what I didn't while earning my way from stock 'Mechs to fully-optimized ones.

Besides, adding this functionality would significantly delay the development of other content. It would be a huge project like Community Warfare.

I say only the purchased mechs that you bought with MC may be lended. This lets any abuse be a granted benefit to developers as a paid-benefit that furthers the game development funds.

Or just one player gets one mech at any given time during the time you're logged on. Toggle capable.
