It's getting tiresome waiting to be on equal footing again in clanwarrior online. The MM has been especially bad lately at stacking clanners vs mostly IS with stomp after stomp after stomp.

Whoa, wait...you're expecting the quirks to make IS mechs competitive vs. Clans?

And here I thought they'd just breathe life into IS mechs no one takes, compared to other IS mechs.

Isn't the Victor considered Tier 1? When was the last time you saw a Victor take on a Timby and wipe the floor with it?

Yeah it's pretty desolate atm. Clan mechs dominate every drop unless they completely ignore the IS mech thinking it is no threat allowing it to do lots of damage. Spawn points make it twice as worse catering to clan speeds allowing entire deathball rushes before most players have even powered up their mechs.

Actually the Victor is considered Tier 1 after they remove the terrible agility nerfs they have now, So there has yet to be a single Tier 1 Victor vs Timberwolf fight.

The Victor is considered T1 after the Quirk Pass, when its old Giganerf package will be scrubbed.

Victors with their normal, weight-appropriate mobility will be pretty stiff challenges for Timber Wolves. As I recall, according to Kiiyor's Science thread, Victors already pwnooblerate Timber Wolves in the 12-man queue, or at least Dragon Slayers do.

Besides. As Monkey stated, the only Clan 'Mech anyone halfway competent has issues with anymore is the Timber Wolf. When was the last time you felt particularly threatened by a Nova?

Also the timeline for the quirk pass is November 4th, as stated by Russ in the October Roadmap thread in Command Chair. Pay attention, Lock. I know it's not your strong suit, but you'll learn more if you try.

I can take Timbers not running meta in my awesome, but that's an assault vs a heavy which should be one sided.

Monkey is wrong for leaving out the doomcrow which is more a threat than Timbers imo so you're the one not paying attention but I expect that from you. Proven it's not YOUR strong suit at all in just one post. ^_^ Pathetic your online buddies are willing to back you despite you left out a critical mech. Looks like failure runs in the family. :D

Speaking of the Victor, I really hope that they aren't serious about the 9K variant being T1 after the agility is restored. The 9K is the sub-par variant of the bunch, so it could use at least some minor quirkage (are there even any meta-compliant builds for the 9K?). The rest however (9S, 9B, DS) are accurately rated at being T1.

It's just 5 tons.

And I agree Doomcrows are about as dangerous as Timberwolves. The latter tend to fall apart slower when under fire, though.

5 tons yes but the awesome is one of the few who already has good quirks which it needed and makes up for OP clan XL engines.

Naturally I'm cranky because I bought some new cents today in anticipation of having to level up the loyalty rewards one coming, and grinding new mechs in the public queue is just about the worst experience MWO has to offer. It's bad enough a near stock mech is super gimped, but add in OP clans mechs and you just get rolled match after match. NO fun at all.

Crow has firepower but i can at least hit the center. The timber spreads dmg to much for me i can't hit the area i want to hit other than aiming for the ears when i need a side.

I am a "Doomcrow" pilot. Perhaps that's the decider, really - I know where to hit the things and what they can do, so I don't feel particularly threatened by them. They're certainly not a 'Mech to ignore, but I don't look at a Stormcrow on the red team and think to myself "WHELP, I'm screwed. May as well Esc > Quit now, never gonna beat that thing."

Don't get me wrong; the Stormcrow's the only T1 meidum in the game right now so far as I can tell. The Shawk and Griff are close, close enough to be quite wary of in a Stormcrow, but not quite on the Crow's level. I simply also believe that the Stormcrow, while clearly T1, is also acceptably T1 and not particularly busted or in need of giganerfage, save for investigation into possibly erroneous RT hitboxes, while I am willing to admit that the Timber Wolf will likely require some adjustments even after the IS quirk pass. Not the 30% to 50% mobility cuts everyone keeps trying to smash it into kindling with, but certainly adjustments.

Of course, some people won't be satisfied until a stock Centurion is at least three tiers of play above the most powerful Timber Wolf configuration in the game, will they Lock?

That hasn't been my experience at all with the exception of stock mechs. I think someone's personal vendetta is clouding their perception of reality.

I see you in the solo queue often enough and gripe like the rest.

I almost never talk in game other than to say hello to familiar faces, and I certainly have not been griping like the rest. What exactly are you on about?

Don't bother, Hippy. Lockwood's the sort of guy who's not happy unless he's being bitter and contentious over something.

I get that, but he is saying that I gripe about the same stuff he does when I am in game, and that just baffles me because it simply isn't true. That is a new low even for him.

I'm grinding new Cents in solo drops...not having a hard time with it at all....killing plenty of clan mechs too
