I'm wondering how many others out there are like me in that they don't want to buy any clan mechs? I'm just not interested in them. I've played everything Battletech since I started with the board game in the 80's and I've always identified with the IS. I grew up with the mechs described in the manuals of Battletech and Citytech and that's where my identity stayed. If you are an IS Loyalist, sound off and tell me why.

I will do my best to stand with the brave citizens of the Federated Suns. I can already tell we have an imbalance in the number of players likely to go clan, especially the hordes of Clan Wolf. The AFFS shall be victorious!

I own both, but I prefer the IS for the most part.

Likely because I don't have access to the good ones yet. DoomCrow might sway me, but it will be hard to replace the WubShee.

Moving fast is also nice.

I have 80 'Mechs, all Inner Sphere. I have only played a Clan 'Mech ones, the trial Nova in the training grounds purely to discover its Alpha melting point. I follow the path foretold by the Blessed Blake, I fight to save the Inner Sphere from unholy abominations such as the Clan heretics! Lore is all!

Brought the Clan Wave 1, but I am really only interested in getting these Clan mechs: Nova, Summoner, Hellbringer, MadDog, Shadow Cat, Kodiak.
I feel no attachment to my Direwolves, they are still sitting in the hanger with Basic skill barely completed.

Still piloting my IS mechs more frequently.

I haven't nor do I intend to ever buy Clan mechs, unless they become playable for innersphere via "salvage". even then probably not much.

In all the previous games you have had to gravitate to Clan Tech just to do well. I think in MWO you have a chance in IS tech so I am staying loyal to the IS side.

Besides the background history I wrote for my unit has us abandoned by Kerensky during the exodus. It would be a little hypocritical to join his offspring now.

Pure I.S. pilot here. I own no Clan 'Mechs and barring future additions to the Clan line up, that won't change. (The Caudron Born MIGHT tempt me.)

I'm a Mercenary, have been since day one. Not planning on going anywhere or jumping ship to the Clans now, or ever. Give me my Highander, and watch me go to work.

I love playing mechs that give me options. That allow me to engange at different ranges effectively that allow me to engage and disengage - to some extend - and that are well designed.

So I cant wait to play the madcat once its released for cbills. Its speed, firepower, mobility and durability are just too hard to pass.

I'll fight in a mercenary team anyway.

While I have bought a Nova (and will probably buy more Clan mechs for the fun of it) its IS all the way for me in regards to loyalty. Heaven in MWO for me would be having CW set during the 4th Succession War. Know this isn't going to happen, but I liked BattleTech a lot more before the Clans came calling with their uber tech, elementals, and warships. Its sad that MW1 is so ancient (along with the Crescent Hawk games), and that so many gamers got into the franchise with MW2 and MW3, simply because it made them devotees of the all powerful Clan tech without any real understanding of the lore and history of BT.

Having shiny lostech everywhere ruins that dark and gritty feel. Robots be serious business.

Though, I might consider... uh... salvaging a Jenner IIC or three.

I think I will stay IS, but I do want a Timber Wolf or Storm Crow.

It depends. I could see me going to Clan Wolf. Definently not those Crusader Clan losers. Warden all the way.

I rather like the feeling clan lasers. I probably don't do very MUCH with them, but the sound they make and the intensity of their beam make them almost as enjoyable as running around at 150, slinging SRMs at people.

I've played completely for free since end of '12/beginning of '13, with various account (it's nice to have c-bills for free)
When wave 1 came out I decided to spend real money. I like both in combat.

But you know what? After mastering the 3 mechs of my pack, I began to re-mastered all the IS mechs I had with old accounts.
Real real fun in customing loadout/engine/structure in IS mechs!

so a mech needs to be older than 100 years? That means, Summoner is ok, TW is ok, Nova is ok and Stormcrow.

We have plenty old stuff to pilot over rhere.
