If you want a deep, immersive, teamplay experience, a face-to-face role-playing game is just your ticket. Everybody is on "comms", and there are group objectives that match up with individual objectives. And, there's a "Russ" right there at the table! No stable of coders required for a change to be implemented.
Asking online shooters to be as co-operative as a Monty Haul dungeon group is ludicrous.
