Maddog Should Stay Reward Only Mech

I look to the direwolf as proof that all those who hate clan must have changed there minds because it is everywhere now making that mech feel cheap. The maddog isn't an Op mech actually the arms fall off if its looked at the wrong way but it feels good playing it since its in a club of sorts, Im not playing on ego here or anything just saying anything that costs real cash should stay that way., imagine if you bought a hero mech the one you always wanted and suddenly a few weeks later everyone had it? just because they have time to play and farm free C-Bills. I'll end with Thanks for reading Enjoy the game (Its getting better guys/gals) See ya on the battle field.

Though that's a variant. I suppose it's a whole different story for entire chassis- perhaps just unique variants, maybe not full chassis then.

First of all, the mech has already been announced as being available in the future for CBs, so it would be going back on a previous promise.
Second, and more importantly, many people love the mech, and to make a whole chassis only available for MC is not nice, or a good business practice just because of the bad will it would generate. A hero mech or special variant is fine to make MC only, but not a whole chassis.
The Dire Wolf is just the new flavor of the month mech for all the players buying with CBs, so it will decrease in number soon enough. Just wait for the IS quirk pass if nothing else.
And for the record before you accuse me of wanting things for free, I do have the Mad Dog.already.
Edit: Just enjoy the time you have to feel special in your Mad Dog now, then move to the next advance purchase if you want to feel "special". Just look at some of the threads about clan mechs being P2W from their initial release to get an idea about how people would respond to this (only your idea would create more angst)...

When you make an online game where people play against each other, you do NOT introduce "pay to win" and you must be very careful about what products can only be bought with real world money. Some interesting variants on already existing chassis? Okay, provided they are not too powerful. An entire chassis line that people really want to own? No.

If your a real DW pilot then you will be in one when everyone is in the MD when it is fully F2P.

Specific look of a chassis? Yes. (Founders)
Reward only paintscheme, yes.
Reward only cockpit item? yes.
They allow you to show off whatever you did to earn that reward- but holding an entire chassis hostage would be wrong. Just wrong.
[EDIT: how did I miss this? "Anything paid for with cash should stay that way." I believe this is the definition of Pay Wall, which can very easily turn into Pay-to-Win. Yeah. Double no.]

That's quite sufficient, the mech needs to be released to all for purchase through MC/Cbills.

If you feel like dangling that e-peen out so much, then drop ONLY in that mech FOREVER.

the (I) Version is money-only and will stay that way.
why the hell should i care what others buy for c-bills? i got the pheonix mechs/ invasion dires because they give me a c-bill bonus.locking whole mechs behind a pay-wall forever is just....stupid.

BUt The Mad Dog as Reward mech only? Hecks no....just no lol. Maybe if they made the Reward Mad Dog with the proper Mad Dog geometry, with proper squat legs, long guns and stuff...maybe make that a reward only, but the Mad Dog in general? Hecks naw lol......Ill take a Mad Dog, improperly scaled, short barrels and all.....

The mad dog legs are already fine.
if you got problems with it then you got problems with the Timberwolf legs. (because cannonly, in all games, and in MW: O, those 2 mechs have the same legs . same way summoner and hellbringer does. or mist lynx and firemoth, or direwolf and warhawk, or gargoyle and executioner. or the arms on the Ice ferret and myst lynx.)

Also we see lot of the same Clan mechs, especially the Dire Wolf because quite frankly there are only 8 Clan mechs in the game and the Dire Wolf is the only Clan assault currently released for C-bills. Once the Warhawk gets released I am sure we will see more of them. Hell when the finally get around to releasing the Gladiator, Executioner, Kingfisher, Turkina and maybe some of the second line Assaults like the Kodiak, I can pretty much guarantee you won't be seeing only the Dire Wolf as a Clan assault.
Same goes with the Mad Dog. As a 60 ton heavy that is only semi good, I guarantee you they aren't going to be as common as the Timber Wolf, Hellbringer, Night Gyr, Cauldron Born when they all make it out.

Is this one of those things where the first kid on their block to own a playstation 3 enjoys it when other people don't have it.
Then the second every kid on their block has a playstation 3, its no longer "cool" anymore?

I think everyone who posted on the forums complaining the direwolf is op deserves an opportunity to pilot one and fail to break 100 dmg using it. There are valuable life lessons to be learned piloting a direwolf, such as "leave no mech behind" and "stick together".
Would you deprive the player base of those character enriching, value teaching, experiences?
