Well, the no joint shoulder cones bolted deep into the torso look was unique to MW4. The look i was going for was based more on the ol' TRO art which does show more of a clear joint amidst the should cones

In case anyone else hasn't mentioned it in the discussion, this look for the Zeus was from Maximum Tech:

Yes. This was one of the motivations for creating this package.

If its anything like it is for Clan Wave II, its going to be faction-specific colours, pattern, and cockpit items. Just scroll down this page to see how it is applied in regards to the Clan factions.

The much anticipated Inner Sphere pack has arrived, code named Resistance.

Players will immediately notice the high value comparable to the Phoenix program where packages range from 20 to 80 dollars. This is primarily based as always on the C-bill to MC ratio which describes the difference between IS and Clan package pricing.

Fans may wonder what our process was for selecting the Zeus and Grasshopper after the forum poll results. In both cases voting was close enough to 50/50 that we felt we could go either way. In the end we felt these 4 ‘Mechs in particular seemed to fit very well together, with other, future packages seeming to be better fits for inclusion of the Black Knight and Cyclops..

Since it is unclear in the graphic: Panther, Enforcer, Grasshopper, Zeus

This package will go on sale Wednesday Oct 22nd at 4PM PDT

Full variant details will be provided on Wednesday when the package is made available for purchase.

*Special Note: We do not yet have mock-ups for the Inner Sphere faction skins/content, we will work hard to supply these images as soon as possible, with a commitment to have all of those details view able before the Dec 16th delivery of the King Crab. Any purchase decisions in the meantime will need to be based off of past content.

And the Urbanmech responds:

This pack is great, with an excellent choice of mechs! I don't know how much money I'll be able to scrape together, but I definitely see a Panther and Enforcer in my future. Seeing that I'm more of an Inner Sphere fan, I'll be shooting for that Wrath Pack. Although . . . how could I pass up fielding an actual Fire title and badge. It's a very happy moment for the pyro in me.

The selection in mech chassis is really solid with a nice nod across virtually every major faction. Even the factions not "directly" represented in the pack still fielded plenty variants of the chassis listed above. I look forward to seeing the potential in the chassis' variants.

Also, one funny thing that occurred to me is that now people will actually have a light mech designed to carry a PPC in the arm. All those Spider 5D pilots will have lots of practice for the Panther.

Nice mechs! It's good to see you are adding all mechs from the Battletech Introductory Box. :)

But... what are you going to do with the Enforcer variants? It has one from 2777 and one from 3050. Is the 3rd the experimental ENF-4R Daniel (with gauss instead of AC/10 and 2 medium lasers instead of large laser)?

Next IS Pack = Comstar's?
Mongoose, Crab (or Wyvern), Black Knight and Cyclops?

back in the day, Mechwarrior titles used to give you a game first, and Mechpacks second. PGI apparently feels like mechs first and game second is the way to go.

This is actually the question I have. Does buying this top tier IS pack make us eligible for the King Crab?

Wait till you see there quirks... , panther a pro PPC mech, -30% recharge PPC , - 30% PPC heat, -30% srm recharge +15% srm range... and so on X) .
Yeah the quirks might make some of those mechs with no clear harpoint advantage into some real beasts , or at least decent at what they want them to do :) .
