AFAIK these faction mechs are stables of each House:

Panther- Kurita
Enforcer- Davion
Grasshopper- Marik?
Zeus- Steiner

Well, at least Steiner players have a better reason to defend Hesperus II now.

am i the only one questioning this mech choice?
panther 35t - Ember, Jenner and Raven in that weight seem to be better
enforcer 50t - hunchback, centurion might be even but the trebuchet seems better cause of JJ's
grasshopper - CATAPHRACT.
zeus - victor (no way zeus is beating the victor there)
all according to the meta the pack mech choice seems bad.

anyways most likely to get the pack still, because of the money to effectivness of that pack (4 hero mechs 60 days of premium 12 mechbays and 6 faction packs)

All other sales so far followed that system, so its very, very likely that you are correct.

@ mad kat: the answer is yes 2 prime variants and 2 other variants of both mechs makes a total of 6 mechs on the rage pack

@ Will####: Grasshopper is an all-houses mech. It predates the Houses having individual armies (their own as opposed to depending mostly on the all-encompassing SLDF forces) and the Succession wars. As it wasn't deemed fit for the Royals it got spread to the common 'warriors... who ended up literally everywhere - Houses great and small, merc' units, and 'lone wolves'.

@ mad kat: Yes each level you receive three of that mech, one of each variant. So, Rage means 3 Panthers and 3 Enforcers, one of each variant, and mechbays for each mech included.

Not only are they sweet rides... They are displayed with House Colors!

I might have to risk divorce for this Pack!

I hope your wife is a die hard clanner and threatens divorce if you are flying IS colors. If not and your marriage can't handle 80 bucks, you are in a tuff spot already, mate.

The Panther is the one with the potential to be really good. Imagine a 35 tonner with the size/hitboxes of a Spider. Together with good hardpoints could dethrone the Ember and Jenner-F as the king of lights.

the Zeus looks like a pudgy, fat, frumpy, ugly Battle-master. I would change the cockpit to make it unique and set it apart. You do awesome work Alex, please don't limit yourself or allow others to put you on a time constraint to where you feel you have to use already created parts. just my two cents

Yeees, the Zeus looks Battlemasterish, but that's always been true. Take a look at the original TRO art for the Battlemaster

And then the Zeus:

See the similarity? The Zeus was always the Battlemaster's less glamorous brother. :)

Hmm, you do make a good point. It is true that concepts from Alex are closer to these canon schematics more than they've ever been in any other MW game, and here they look even more similiar. My perception just got blurred by the vision of how Zeus was like in MW3 and MW4.

Hold on, Harmony Gold would like a word.

So if I would buy the Package for 80$, will I get the mechs plus 12 mech bays for them or another 12 extra?

For the official launch, those should probably be 'Resistance Mech' instead of 'Prime' as the IS doesn't use that terminology (and to follow Phoenix).

I agree, call them Resistance mechs, not Prime.

I was tempted by the Phoenix pack in the past, assuming the hardpoint layouts are not awful I will have to jump on this... partially to get the top tier King Crab. Also PGI has been making moves in the right direction.

Iam amazed why someone has problems with this. Why is it "ok" when someone pays 600 USD for spaceship in SC and yet its totaly out of the line when PGI gives us 60 days of premium time, 6 color packs, 8 normal mechs, 4 hero mechs and 12 mech bays for 80 USD? Its hell of a deal! Those of us who couldnt afford founder or phoenix packs back in the days were asking for this. Now when we have the money we have an option to spend them on IS pack. What is wrong with this? Nobody is forcing anybody to buy this. So why being angry and bicker "bout another mech pack". And btw yes, iam here from the release of beta so i was here when "bad bad IGP" was there.

agreed. I think PGI has been doing much better after pulling away from IGP and taking on MWO as their own project.
