Dude, we fight CSJ, CI, 228th, WoL, AS, etc in group queue too. That's where you go to master 'Mechs. PUG queue will net you less xp 90% of the time anyway. At least...it's where I've mastered just about everything since the last wipe.

It may be the case for you... but not for others... as evidenced by the comment immediately after yours.

Group Q was the place to go to best level mechs. Then once group sizes were up'd to 12 that was no longer the case, unless you're in the 10-12man group facing the fodder-team of 3-5 groups thrown together to face you. Solo is now where you go for relaxed play and easier XP efforts.

You don't level mechs when you're being rolled by high level 12-men teams. Losing 12-0, 12-2 does not net you sufficient xp even if you turn in great personal performances.

BTW IS Pack is cheaper than Clan pack, so now I'm going to have trouble choosing between wave 2 and this... :D

You want to play Clans or IS in CW? You'll have to choose.

The ability to swap factions between seasons is no longer happening?

well with have to get to at least the Enforcer level. dunno if i want to go all out this time given my dislike/lack of skill with fthe thunderbolt and battlemaster from phoenix. don;t want to have zeus and grasshopper just taking up space though the extra premium time is always nice.

It may, but I wouldn't count on it being free, easy to do, or something you can do often.

Besides, if you play under the assumption you won't be able to, you'll be happily surprised if you can, rather than dissapointed that you can't if it doesn't happen.

Yep, I will. Our unit might consider sitting this one out until CW reaches Phase 3, then we'll jump in. I on the other hand might go for IS, in that the IS Resistance pack is going to be for sale tomorrow. #MW3

um... They are all humanoid. Right?

Dire Wolf is not, Adder is not. Stormcrow is not. Crab is not. Kingcrab is not, Timber Wolf is not, Mad Dog is not, Nova is not, kit fox is not, jenner is not, stalker is not, catapult is not.

Some people prefer the "chicken leg" mech's and less humanoid looking one.
He's one of them. I am one of them too. (even if I love the Centurion or the Awesome)

To be fair, I'm going IS but I'm also grabbing a few clan mechs for fun while I can, as well as learning how to pilot them so I can learn how to kill them. I'm still hoping there will be some kind of salvage system that lets you pilot an opposing force's mechs.

As for the Enforcer "missing" a 3rd variant at this time more than likely it will be an "R" designation (or however they are going to label the Prime versions) akin to what they did with the Founders and Phoenix Mech variants that will be the champion version of that chassis. Fixes the problem with there only being two variants in the timeline without having to break canon. The two standard variants will be what we know from sarna.

Maybe not... too much processing and commands to run for the client there. But I do have some Clan mechs, and I know how to kill them.... AC/20 to the face!

3 out of the 4 'mechs in Phoenix weren't very good... tricky to say whether these four will add anything new to the game or be any good at all. I bought Phoenix and I only really ever use the Shadow Hawk so was fairly disappointed with it.

2 (1N and 3M) of the Griffins are being used ahead of Shadowhawks in comp drops now with the srm changes. 3 Shadowhawks are being used for AC/20, ER LL, etc builds... only 1 Wolverine is really ever brought out (mainly because there are usually chassy limits) and I have seen VERY few Thunderbolts (maybe a couple of drops). SO I can see people wanting it again since 5 or so mechs are very useful.

The Zeus can equip the "Improved Cooling Jacket" quirk and the Binary Laser Cannon which is described as having better damage penetration, meaning internal crit damage? Some new stuff is possible.

This may actually be a way to give IS a bit of a boost. They can tweak the numbers just a tad...

I've kind of scanned this thread so if I missed this, forgive me. I am not a long time MW player. I started playing on the PC about MW4. I have never played the TT version. I don't know the lore ect other than what has been presented here. I have how ever been a part of this game since very early on. I "own" the top founders pack, the top phoenix pack, both the top in clan packs and several hero mechs. My question would be with the community warfare being what it is, and me being forced to pick a "faction" and that choice either removing all my IS mechs as an option in competitive play, or all the clan ones, why would I purchase another pack? I don't want to come across as the sole voice of discontent, and I certainly don't want to be viewed as some of the negative posters here are, but, I think the question as someone that has spent money on clan mechs why should I purchase these if I cant use them?

You can still use the mechs of different factions, just not in Community Warfare. We'll have a regular queue like we do now, where you just pick one of your many mechs and drop, and then there will be a CW matchmaker off on its own doing its own thing. I'm getting Stormcrows this week, and while I won't be able to do anything with them in CW, I can still drop in them casually or even in group queue as long as its not CW.

Great job PGI

its almost like in my collage table top days where I could look at all my painted miniatures IS mechs and wonder which one I would use to destroy the clan vat grown scum.

I love the panther and the Grasshopper....and yes this means I will give you some more of my hard earned money, please keep going in this direction and please do an awesome job in community warfare and the Inner sphere map...something about looking at a constantly evolving nice map makes me want to play games.....( ya I am sucker for a good map)

and again hat off Russ and the guys at PGi for manning up and doing what we all knew had to be done. you have earned a loyal fan. o7
