I am also a summoner pilot, and I am not laughing because, all my tbrs had jjs so I could do some summoner style maneuvering, then here comes PGI all like Psy and they go Oppa Summoner style on them.

Option 2: keep playing and request a refund from support (from what I hear they are usually very helpful). They give you back your money and take away your now terribly useless clanmechs that you were frauded into buying
Option 3: keep playing and accept that there are balance changes every now and then, coz online multiplayer game
Not an option 1: cry like a little baby
Not an option 2: try instigating a riot on a forum where people with real problems concerning the game go
Not an option 3: repeat "not an option" 1 and 2 ad nauseam.

Dumb! And I actually paid real money for that mech back in the summer too.
Hey Dev, go back and read about Omni technology before you go screwing up our omnimechs!

I find it highly ironic that you posted that link because it just shows that PGI is doing it right according to lore. Did YOU read that page before posting it??
Copy and pasted from the site, word for word
An OmniMech's structural components (its engine, internal structure, armor and any equipment installed on the base chassis of OmniMech) are "hard-wired" and cannot be modified outside of a total redesign of the 'Mech.
PGI just fixed the Kitfox and Timberwolf which were actually broken. The JJs needed to be fixed, just like the Summoner and Nova.
And by the way, you do know you can remove 4 of the JJs on the Kitfox-S by changing out the leg Omnipods right? Which is an option the Summoner and Nova does NOT have.
I paid real money as well, and I have no issues with this well deserved fix

I read it and it only says equip on the BASE CHASSIS is locked. The TBR-S is not the BASE CHASSIS thus the Jump Jets are not fixed.

World of tanks has real world history that lets you know if the tank is over performing, if they made it so the King Tiger was as fast and fragile as the Sherman people would gripe and moan because that is not historically correct. The same reason why we gripe and moan about PGI locking the jump jets. It is not LORE, The TBR-S is not PRIME, so the Jump Jets are not LOCKED, it would be different if the TBR-PRIME had 4 Jump Jets. As I said put a punishment on losing a Side torso (with clan xl engine) in battle and make it slightly harsher punishment if said side torso is not the original for that Omni mech. There are also many lore accurate ways to fix what people complain about, the problem is we will not get convergence back, because of the meta players being who pgi goes to as a test bed.

I PAID for what I could do when I purchased the timberwolfs., not for random mandatory configurations down the line or at the whim of a programmer.
+1 to the BS call...
I will remember that anything stated about mech specs is written in wet runny sand and has the strength of a willow in the wind.
This is like buying a car only to have a mandatory recall that changes your leather upholstery to vinyl because <insert reason here> and not refunding the money you paid for the leather.
You PAID for whatever PGI delivered as a Timberwolf under the FULL WRITTEN understanding that this could be changed by them at any time for any reason whatsoever.
MWO is a video game. They sell you a license to use their content. That's it. You don't even actually own your timberwolf ... you have just paid to be allowed to use that content. This is the reality of EVERY video game out there ... whether online or not ... you pay for a license to use their content .. you don't actually purchase the software.
And ... just for reference ... the stuff you agree to every time you play the game ...
https://mwomercs.com/terms
2. Content. We may, from time to time at our sole discretion and without notice or liability, create, amend, change, or delete any content from the PGI Offerings.
3. License. Subject to all of the terms, conditions, restrictions and other provisions of this Agreement, we grant to you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, limited license only to internally use the PGI Offerings for non-commercial purposes.
They can change the content whenever they like for whatever reason they like. In this case they thought it did not make sense for jump jets to be optional for some omni pods and required in others. They decided to make it mandatory for all omni pods that equip them.
The biggest issue I find with this in regards to the Timberwolf are the resulting inconsistencies ...
1) One of the omni pods can fit a ballistic hard point ... however by taking up 2 crit slots with JJ ... there are ballistic weapons that no longer fit ... probably intended as a balance item.
2) One of the omni pods has two missile hardpoints with 20 and 15 tubes ... but taking up 2 slots with JJs makes it impossible to fit an C-LRM20 and C-LRM15 that would seem to be implied by the tube allotment.
I think additional redesign of the omni pods besides just fixing the JJs would have been in order but that is just an opinion ... they were completely justified in making the changes and you still receive what you paid for which is the license to use timberwolf content in game.

Then none of you would have gotten JJs for the Timberwolf at all, completely deprecating the Summoner.

And one thing is really missed here.... not the fact that our beloved Timberwolfes got JJs....
Its the f***ing fact that if you have an invalid build, click on configure, get message that the torsos are stripped, hit OK and...
... all items are gone! I checked on both builds, after stripping they are not in my inventory!!!
SO on my "S"-Build I talk about 4x Streak SRM6 + 4x Medlaser and my other build
2x LRM 15 & 2x LRM 10 & 4 Med Lasers.... do the math on your own how much Cbill that is...for me its too much to throw away!
Really...only code monkeys in the gaming business these days...

You lost nothing.
Save the loadout after your items got stripped and then configure your 'mech again. Your stuff will be in your inventory.
It's a known issue with the forced stripping of items.

Ps tiger and Sherman are at 2 different tiers and class so let's put it like this if war gaming was doing it they would look at every heavy mech and go ok the T wolf is at a let's say 78% win rate and the rest around 58% they would do a nerf to the T wolf and then buff the lowest performer that's what PGI has done here they made a change to a mech that out classed every other heavy and so assault mechs if you can't see that then I'm sorry but there are more of us out there that would like to see this game become great and not run by the whine 15 year Olds with mommies credit card
