Well I don't know what to say because 1 Terms of Agreement.
and two.
The Adder had a fixed Flamer in it's torso.
The summoner had Fixed Jump jets.
Some one hurt your OP Heavy mech, like I don't know what to say to you. The Summoner Pilots are still out there rocking. Only seems to be the META players that complain the most. Also if you read the topics, before making a rant post. A lot MORE people have been Ranting about how OP the Timberwolf is and still is. This Jumpjet fix shouldn't be a surprise really. Especially, when you get to basically make your own mech variant with Omni pod swaps.

I log in tonight and all my Timberwolf builds are all invalid because I have to mount fixed jump jets all of a sudden?

What the heck happened to these being omnimechs?

I call BS...

I paid $50 for this dang thing specifically to make these builds!

It's not all of a sudden. It was announced in advance in a Command Chair post concerning changes for October here.

What about all the none meta builds that get removed because of this. This game is suppose to reward creative builds not squash them into the ground because the meta cant be fixed so we need to fix everything. Plus as stated they are about to Buff the crap out of IS mechs, so why are we nerfing clan mechs before the IS Buff?

OmniPods that provide additional jump jet slots have been changed to automatically include those jump jets as fixed equipment.
'Mechs with these OmniPods equipped may experience invalid loadouts until they are edited in the MechLab.
The OmniPods affected are:
Kit Fox S: Left Leg, Left Torso, Right Leg, Right Torso.
Timber Wolf S: Left Torso, Center Torso, Right Torso.

What a terrible change. OmniMech are omni for a reason. So every pilot can modify the mech according his needs, likes and mission requirements. In oposition to IS fixes mechs with nice quirks comming. PGI please remove fixed exquipment and let us enjoy the game how we like it. JJ are usless for LRM Timber Wolf. To have them forced there makes me really unhapy. 4t of ammo less makes this build pretty much usless. I was just about to buy Mad Dog, but now Im affraid to buy any more from Wave II, because so drastic changes are lowering enjoyability, whan half of builds can become usless.

I think everyone is missing the more important problem here. Forget the Timberwolf issues - the Kit Fox can no longer run 2xUAC2 or 2xLB2X builds due to jump jets taking up spots in the S left side torso! They were never particularly good compared to other things you could do with the chassis, but a huge amount of fun. This is a tragedy.

The SMN didnt loose significant weapon space through those JJs. Neither does the NVA. The TBR looses 2 slots in weapon relevant areas, still having 5 slot available. Some hard hitting loadouts are gone, a lot of others still possible. The KFX has only one variants STs, in which you can fit weapons. And here it lost 50% of possible space.

And finally: The omnipod card shouldn't be played in this one. Because there might be people out there that like to play the variants with their options as they are and not with the options other pods offer.
So, its basically two mech variants (+three more if u take the NVA into account - but those dont loose significant loadout space) that were affected be this change. I guess it would have been easier to just remove the SMN-JJ.

Well done PGI you just broke my Timber Wolf D config. A canon config. I hope you are proud of yourselves.

Can I have new omnipods now? Or at least proper omnipods?

EDIT: I just checked, you have also broken my Kit Fox C Config. Another canon config. Again, I hope you are proud of yourselves. And before anyone starts saying the two of the S-SRM 6's on the D config are rear firing I urge you to turn your gaze to the Atlas and Battlemaster.

Well read our terms of use. Bait and switch is a deceptive trade practice in most jurisdictions. What you can take real world money and after totally change whstceas purchased? Is that fair or is that FRUAD?

You destroy the value of these paid for mechs to force us to buy more crap. Don't you care that you are doing this?

What you have the right to change everything? So after you take our money you can change the game to Barbie Fashion world and we have no recourse? Failed argument.

Gotta say PGI:

I'm not convinced this was the best plan you've ever had, but as it is being applied to ALL omni's I'll play along for now...

In the meantime, I have several rather expensive Clan weapon systems I can no longer mount on either my TBRs or my NVAs, all paid for with hard earned C-Bills, gathering dust in my inventory.

Can we get these refunded? I'll make a list and email support.

Wow... looking at players complaining about these "sudden" changes really makes me laugh into the palm of my hand currently slapping my forehead (Guess it would be called a facelolpalm).

This reminds me of the beginning of just about every winter... drivers get surprized by the white stuff on the road even though it has been forecast at least 4-5 days and they are even more surprised, that the white stuff is slippery and cause them to crash their fast cars (and this seems to be a very international problem when looking at the news reports).

Shuffled them into the S torso. Had to juggle it a little to make it all fit properly.

That's the nature of online games. They change constantly. You either roll with it or you quit. The end!

Sorry for having better things to do than read all of pgi's inane bs. I guess if they had put a giant flaming countdown to "the day we corn-hole your favorite mech" on the launcher, I might have spoken up sooner.

You mean a pinned post named "October roadmap" (The name of the thread itself says that it is all and only official information regarding all the planned changes for this month) in a section where only PGI staffmembers can post at all so that they do not dissapear in floods of player comments is not enough for you? I guess you will be just as surprised to hear that they will be adding the King Crab mech for players in the near(ish) future.

P. S. Please also get ready to be surprised about IS mechs getting mech specific weapons and movement quirks.

P. P. S. Please also note, that these "surprizes" have only been anounced since slightly over a month ago.

I stopped reading their "roadmaps" or whatever a long time ago. Seeing as how we don't even have cw yet, what pgi says and what they do are 2 different things.

I don't have time to hang, with bated breath, on every word they type on the forums they keep rearranging "for ease of use"

Besides, just because you tell someone you're going to hit them, doesn't make it ok to hit them if they didn't hear you.

IS players ask, why everyone used the S-sidetorsi? The answer is simple: It´s not about the JJs, it´s about the weapon-hardpoints.
The S-torsi differ from all the others.

I personally don´t use JJs on any mech. I paid for the mechs, because the S-Torso gives us the POSSIBILITY of equipping JJs. But I was more interested in those special hardpoints. Not I`m FORCED to use those JJs or forget the weapon-hardpoints.

The kitfox also is hit hard loadoutwise. I´m not sure, but I think, the JJ-fixation was a wrong decision. For the summoner, too.
