Here are some screenies on my Direwhale matches just now. Might add more. You can analyze to your heart's content. I'll try to say my own point of view.

Game 1. Tourmaline Desert. Loss.

3 kills, 5 assists, 953 damage.

Posted Image

I am getting far fewer C-Bill and XP rewards for assists but that is made up by "kill most damage dealt" and "solo kills".

Posted Image

"Flanking" and "hit and run" gives much less bonus but they are nice addition.

Posted Image

Game 2. Tourmaline Desert. Loss.

3 kills, 1 assist, 810 damage.

Posted Image

Less assist related rewards but is made up by having "Saviour kill" rewards. And also...

Posted Image

..."Solo kill" had boosted my C-Bill and XP greatly.

Posted Image

I don't know about you, but I don't ever remember having 1500 XP on a loss, without boost. And 120000+ C-Bills on a loss is pretty good. Granted, these two were much better than average loss for me but you can see that the effort to play well, despite the loss pays off.

Game 3. Terra Therma. Victory.

2 kills, 6 assists, 1212 damage

Posted Image

It is victory this time and I got more assists and way more damage but I got only 151K C-Bills! And the XP reward is the same as loss!

Posted Image

Clearly damage done means ****, since in the old reward system, I could have gotten more than 175K C-Bills in a game like this. Bummer.

Posted Image

Game 4. River City Night. Victory.

2 kills, 6 assists, 1012 damage.

Posted Image

Another good game but the C-Bill reward is only 160 K and XP reward is same as loss.

Posted Image

I suppose kills really make that much of a difference.

Posted Image

Compare that to this game pre-reward change.

Same map but got Victory. Had Premium times AND first win of the day 2X XP.

1, kill, 7 assists, 707 damage.

Posted Image

If you discount the premium time and first win of the day XP bonus from this pre-reward change game, I got only 127,851 C-Bills and 692 XP. That is twice as less of XP gain than my second game, even though I won and dealt good damage! C-Bill wise, it was just as same as my 2 losses above.

Kinda funny how in game 3 and game 4 in the OP, I dealt over 1000 damage each, as well as kills and assists but I got only 151K and 160 K respectably, whereas in the old reward system, such victory gave me at least 175 K. Also, the XP reward for winning with good score and losing with good score were identical, to my surprise.

It is up to you to make your own conclusion from these shots, but as for me...

Wow, that is some bad income given how well those matches went. My 770dmg game like last week netted 197K or something.....

120K on a loss without boost is bad income?

Sure, I rarely play this well but I was happy to get over 100k on a loss, pre-reward change.

First game in weeks and since the rewards Patch...I got the "lance reward" or whatever it was quite a few times since we had an atlas/direwolf lance and we moved together most of the match. Definitly a good chuck of XP more than I used to get.

Yeah, if you're one of those that run damage in the 800 to 1200 range you earn nicely under the new rewards system. If you're a newer player you earn absolutely nothing. It's really punishing. Never had a match where I earned less than 100 xp before. Now, if you do less that 200 damage and loose you get pretty much nothing.

I also noticed I get far more cbills on losses but slightly lesser than normal on wins.

I had a 700+ damage with a Maddog tonight and the rewards are paltry compared to before the patch around those numbers because even though I dished out a lot of hurt, I only managed to kill 1 'Mech and got plenty of assists.

Lovin the new reward system. It may hurt more on losses and poor performance, but finally it feels like you're actually getting rewarded for a good performance.

I actually experience, consistently, better reward on losses versus the previous system. In fact, I get over 100k c-bill on losing matches quite frequently.

QFT.
I'm reward for covering my team with ECMs, sticking with my lance and staying close to damaged friendlies, which were all the things i was doing before, only now i get paid to do it.

My conclusion: If you are a good pilot your get spammed with c-bills and stuff. If you aren't you get an inadequate low amount of nothing. Not good. I did well in an Adder, rewards were crap. I did no tactics supports crap by spamming narcs and tags that got randomly hit by teammates in a horrible defeat. Big monehys and Xp. Feels not balanced, feels not good.

The system needs balance, some stuff is overrewarded, some underrated. Other "rewards" get granted at situations who are not actually reward worthy (e.g. situations where flanking is granted).

How is that truthful? You get rewarded for staying faithful to the reward system, not for good performance. See the DWF posts above - his job is very simple - to do damage and kill people - and he's not getting rewarded for doing it very well.

All the utility mechs - scout, NARC/TAG, LRM support, ECM - are getting more C-Bills than they did for their activities before... because they didn't get anything before. Normal gameplay and simply being a good pilot and winning games is barely getting rewarded at all - and if you attempt to be a good pilot and win games, but somehow fail because you get caught relatively early and lose a match, you get next to nothing. And if you try out a hybrid role - for example, scout + damage without NARC, then you get next to nothing even if you win.

I got 299k in my DWF by sticking with the team, and doing what an Assault should, protect smaller 'mechs and dishing out damage. (win)
I got 280k in my Timber Wolf by sticking with my team, brawling, using JJs to get over buildings to flank and doing hit and runs with good damage. (win)
I got 240k in my Nova for brawling, flanking, hit and runs, assists, Lance formation and protected bonuses with moderate damage. (win)
I got 140k on my TDK for capping points, sniping at range for hit and run + Flank bonuses spotting with 'light' damage. (loss)
I got 167k in my Raven for spotting, ECm coverage and cancel, hit and run, flanking, Lance Formation and Protected bonuses with 'light' damage. (Win)

Damage is still the best way to get c-bills, and i didn't do a lot of damage in my Lights, but consider that playing a similar game in my Raven prepatch would net me around 90 - 100k cbills if i WON.
This new reward system is a huge improvement over the previous one.

It also lets them do some more interesting challenges for weekends since they have more reward types to base points on. Generic "Get X Kills/Assists/Wins" challenges are no longer what we're limited to, and we may even get rewards themed to various types of challenges.

Anything less then like 200K feels low in this game, considering how much crap costs......4-17mill for a single mech, 6mill for a single module, 3 mill per weapon module, 1.5mill if your mech doesnt come default wiht DHS, then another few mill for the weapon loadouts..........10-40K if you use consumeables....at 70-120K per match.......So, defeat or not, even 120k doesnt seem that high really....

Though from the screenies ive seen of the new reward system, XP earnings seem to be alot higher.
