Rewards" Take A Sample Size Bigger Than 10 Matches

How about, we just relax first. And we monitor what our earnings were for over the course of a week.
I know it's easy to get caught up in all the excitement and the bandwagons coming in and out... But you contribute nothing if that's all your doing is farting around spouting hyperbole and select screenshots or fisherman battle stories.
The truth is guys, I don't care about your 33k match. I don't care about your 400k match.
What I care about is a week from now how much you made.
The rewards system is now a lot spikier than before. Before you'd normally get a moderate rolling hills 70-240k c-bills. Now, you get the freaking Rocky Mountains of rewards from 30k-400k and everyone goes ballistic.
I'm asking something very simple from everyone.
For once. JUST. Once.
Think long-term.
Take broader samples than just your worst match or best match ever 8 hours after the patch released.
I would like to see some averages from PGI. Because even though we can get 100k more or less than we used to, it might just work out to about the same.
BUT THAT'S NOT ALL. There's another point I need to make:
We need to adapt to the new rewards. We need to see how they affect our play styles. I'm seeing people playing tag spiders and things like that - that is good.
What isn't good is if you don't care about what rewards you get, and you just do your own thing, and then come on here and make a thread about how you got terrible rewards.
Take a larger sample size. Try to work the rewards system. See how it affects your playstyle.
AND THEN come to the forums.
What say you? How about we cool our jets for a few days. PGI isn't going anywhere. And giving things a chance first could actually mean we grow to like the system, or PGI has a better idea about the faults with the new rewards system and it gets fixed. So don't focus on either one extreme or the other.

This system encourages kill stealing and nothing more. I don't wanna tag, get assists, or stick with my lance. I wanna wait till my buddies do the work, and then twin ppc the open wound and get the kills.

more so is that system extremely inconvinient for new players who need Cbills more urgent and will have an increadible hard time to get them.

If Kills are really taking the pot again that seems like a major step backward to me, it instantly punishes any kind of support play.

Killing blow (the kill steal you talk about) only awards you 4k.
You get 10k c-bills just for doing the most damage to a target.
An assist is 2500. You only need two assists to out do a killing blow.
HOWEVER. I did get a Saviour kill, which awarded me 22.5k c-bills. But in that game I got 162k c-bills. 1 kill, 8 assists. I looks like I was awarded for both the saviour kill, and killing blow (additional 4k) So maybe that's a bug, but i doubt it because a lot of rewards are stacking.
I have a screenshot with break down, for 305k. In that, I only have 3 kills. 5 assists. 530 dam. The rest? That's all flanking, brawling, spotting, doing the most damage on a mech that died etc. Even my components destroyed (which was 8) is higher than my kill count c-bills. (12.5k for the 3 killing blows, but 18.4k for comp destruction)
My point: comparing c-bills to kills alone isn't accurate enough for you to come in here and saying that all it does is encourage kill stealing, because it doesn't. While you get 4k for the kill, the guy who did the most damage gets 10k. So you can sit around if you like, but you'll be making far less than you could.

Don't worry. This is exactly what I'm talking about in my OP. Kill steals aren't prevailing. Don't get me wrong though, you're still going to get c-bills for kills. But you aren't going to get rich off it, if that's all you ever do. There's quite a few people that are just throwing around ridiculous accusations with very little to back up what they're saying. Play the game yourself for a few days and draw your own conclusions. Look through that list under the big c-bills earned. That's the best way because many people around here are blowing hot air straight out their ass.

Cool, what about the Heavy that is guarding your flank and doing everything he can to keep you alive, gets 400ish damage and bummed on less than 50K C-Bills? Including Premium Time and a 30% mech bonus?

I would guess, the average amount of C-Bills and XP is reduced by 30-40%, at least. Had 150k C-Bills and 1k XP per match average, now its < 100K and 600 XP.

No matter what PGI does, there are always people that do not like it!
The new Rewars system is great!
It is fair to all!
Why should a Dire get more XP / C Bils for the fulfillment of his duty as a scout for the fulfillment of his?
With the new system, each will be rewarded for his task.
I just say: " ROLE-WAR-FARE"

The Locust is OP. Here's one screenshot of when I did 1000 dmg.
Matchmaker doesn't work. Here's one screenshot of a 12-0 loss.
All Clan mechs are OP. Here's one screenshot of 4 Dire Wolves doing 800+ dmg each (plz ignore the Nova doing 112 dmg)
I have really high Elo, I really know what I'm talking about. Here's one screenshot of me doing 1200 dmg and getting 6 kills (plz ignore the trial mechs and disconnects on the other team)

No, my point is that it is far more extreme than that. Getting a bad match and seeing the game tell you that your effort and time was just completely wasted by the rewards screen is just brutal. Getting a streak of that just really kills my desire to play that entire class which holds one of my favorite mechs.
Flip side of that is that my Light Play has gone up dramatically in rewards.

Wow. A truly heartwarming story, I must say. So you would like more rewards than an LRM boat with 5 counters to their weapon, because a x6 UAC Direwolf that camps and looks in one direction can burst fire peoples CT’s, and that is somehow less cheap or harder to do than what an LRM boat does? I think someone is just jealous.
Needless to say, those are some pretty bold claims! Like I discussed in my OP, I’m taking what you say as hyperbole, or you’re comparing a bad Direwolf game and comparing to it to a good LRM boat game. But I cannot agree that you’re being completely honest, or aren’t twisting facts.
I think the whole point of the thread has gone entirely over your head. So far that you couldn’t even hear the wooshing sound. I think you should do those 100 matches for each mech, and tell me your average earnings are. I’m sure I can trust you when you say you played your hardest with each mech, right?

And if you do that 100 times, you'll make 150,000 C-Bills. And have 1,000 damage.
Have you ever had a 1,000 damage match in your Spider? If you do, would you be satisfied with 150,000 C-Bills?

If you were actually paying attention, you would notice that it isn't "fair to all". A Dire Wolf's job is to kill people and do damage, and he's not being rewarded for it. He actually gets more C-Bills if he spams LRMs doing very little damage, or scouts.
In theory, he should get more for doing his job - but he isn't. That's what people are complaining about.
