WHAT DO YOU DO??
Say its Christmas time (or whatever holiday you celebrate) and it is time to open a gift from a relative. You open it up and it might not be what you wanted....Do you….

A ) Do you take it from them and say to their face how you don’t want it and then proceed to complain about it further till you are red in the face and people truly realize what a spoiled person you are….

OR

B ) You smile, thank the person and continue with being a good person.

As someone with three (3) kids that have ALL learned this lesson with ease, I see this attitude in these forums after the Reward Mech Injections and just shake my head…. It’s very sad to see the amount of complaining going on. I see countless threads about how you hate the mech / never asked for it / don't like the setup... etc... (Especially the C9-AH which, was argued for YEARS to be brought back by the COMMUNITY)...

Advice: If you don’t like it, strip it and sell the parts off. You got a free Cbill reward, for nothing. You didn’t lose a mech bay space and you didn’t pay anything for it. It was free….

How about we be a better community and NOT look a gift horse in the mouth…. I mean if I was PGI, with this recent attitude, I would consider pulling the King Crab or other future rewards due to the ungrateful nature of the posts and just make you pay for all mechs going forward.

Some people will complain no matter what. I am grateful for the "new style" and the gifts.

I do really enjoy the new atlas. Never been a fan of centurions, but hey, free mechs are free mechs. I had some fun in it.

C) Thank them for thinking of me. Offer it back or ask if I can exchange it for something more my style.

It's funny people talk about class and being good people and then talk about how PGI should act like a classless tool and punish everyone because a handful of morons complain about a gift. Really a classy person.

True...

btw... quite a large number of companies would have gone broke if they were worried about the manners of their consumers.
money is everything... money.!

The main purpose of the gifts (while being a very nice gesture) was to increase sales (MC and packages) ... i think.!
You'd pull the King crab?... please... dont use this model in your own business.

And summarily destroy their own game which is already on shaky ground. On topic, I don't think PGI cares if people are butthurt a free mech doesn't cater to them, they have more pressing concerns.

i used the atlas a bit this morning, actually liked it. I typically run in mediums or heavys so I liked the extra beating it can take over my hunchback. I'm not real crazy about the centurion, I wish it had some slots for lasers but I'll try it out when I'm done playing with the atlas.
I thought it was very cool of PGI to give them to me so...thanks PGI

Not classless, back to their business model of F2P, special mechs cost real money to buy.

Thats a great parenting move and a terrible business move. Also, it is silly to get upset over a few people making posts about that when the medium queue is at 50% and almost every game has the new mech in it.

Sorry OP, I don't currently own any Cents or Atalai and can't see myself buying 2 more variants of each to master. If I could sell them for c-bills I could by variants of mechs I do need. I also personally detest almost all the hero paint schemes and these 2 with their ridiculous religious theme top the list. I finally am rid of the unwanted trial mechs in my garage and now have 2 more unwanted chassis gathering dust, great.

LOL oh spiteful then, but what about manners? Oh nevermind I forget a lot of people who talk about class and such rarely own mirrors. Basically, let a few jackasses ruin things for everyone because that is a good business decision and also very classy and well mannered. Oh well the beauty of hypocrites is they don't even know they are hypocrites. So yeah PGI you show those whiners by punishing everyone, that'll show ungrateful people.

You are confused... so let me clarify. If PGI were to pull the King Crab (as I stated in my original post, not that they would, but as an example), it would not be a classless response, it would be a response. The type of response it is isn't mutually exclusive to "making a response means it's classless". Your allusions to it being hypocritical are incorrect. Since you never received the King Crab, you haven't lost anything. Now if they removed all gifts out of your mech bays right now... that would be a different story and warrant the hypocritical statement.

Bit of a stretch there, it would be easier if you just deleted that last part from your post.
