My pleasure. Glad it helps! Maybe the devs can get some help from this too.

Me too. As it seems we've traded the occasional screen freeses for a constant low fps and frequent fps drops. With the recent patches my fps is down from a decent 60 to 40 and it often touches the tens. It's a little better with DX11(Previously i used DX9, because with DX11 it was much slower.)

Trust me Diszno my friend, the DX9 is worse. Or at least on my rig the DX11 is better. The fps drops are the same but the base fps is higher.

That error looks like its not driver related, but directx api related. Might want to pop over to Here (microsoft's DX support/download page) and grab both the 9.0c and 11 versions and run them both. See if that helps, since the crash also affects, in your case, firefox, then it is probably crashing the DX API and not the nvidia driver since modern web browsers use direct draw and direct 2d as well (sometimes OpenGL as well which is included in the nvidia driver package).

I went ahead and tried that, already have the most up to date DX versions, wouldn't let me install over them.

It only happens with this game though :/ And, it's a somewhat recent development. It didn't happen before I took my couple month break from the game.

since the new patch i cant even patch the game, it finishes patching then just exits. when i start it back up, option to patch again, with the same results. patches, finalizes, then exits.

I have the stuttering issue as well GTX 680, latest drivers, doesn't matter if I try DX9 or DX11. It only happens when I'm controlling the mech. When I'm spectating after being blown up it runs smooth as silk.

I also took a few months of hiatus, and returned... to this totally unplayable situation...

History: I used to experience screen freezing in MWO in 50% of matches. I used to have to hit ctrl alt delete, then tab back into the game to un hitch it.

Recent patch history: In the past ~2 months I came back for some more fun. The game rarely freezes anymore on the older maps. The new industrial nightime city map causes a freeze about 90% of matches that I play on it.

I have recently been experiencing freezing since either this latest patch or the one prior. At first I thought it was due to network limitations on my end, because in the Training Grounds the game runs excellent. It's only in 12v12 matches that I get this issue. The thing is my ping is amazing at the start and end of each match (usually around 40). Also, at least until very recently, the game ran great and I haven't changed anything network related. In case there are known network issues that may be causing this my ISP is Charter. I see others only having troubles on certain maps, but my issue doesn't seem to be map biased. Freezing occurs randomly and can last as little as a few seconds or in some cases continue until the match ends. The issue always ends after the match ends and everyone has disconnect in my experiences so far. I don't get any errors, and rarely have I felt the need to end the game through Task Manager (sometimes rage). I'm continuing to drop matches today to try and get some more information.

Update: I dropped 3 more matches. First 2 were fine, but this 3rd one shows some of the freezing. Near the end is the most substantial freeze (in front of a Direwolf of course) although it can be much worse. Recorded with Shadowplay and it seems almost spot on to the ingame experience audio and video wise.

With the 344.60 and the previous 344.48, my first match tends to freeze as I start, but then it's generally okay the rest of the time.

i had to turn on v-sync in order to actually play again.

what Iwas seeing was 100-120FPS but if I fired weapons or other stuff happened, they would drop to 50 and back to 100 and back to 50 and so on. It was like being in a car and applying the brakes then mashing the gas and then applying the brake and mashing the gas.

game was nearly unplayable because of the constant fast/slow. This wasn't even stutter or freezing, it was nice gently slow down and then speed up. it was very strange.

v-sync on = constant 60fps and no weirdness.

this is using 1680x1050, everything at high, and DX11, no AA.

These recommendations didn't work to clear up my stuttering graphics during gameplay, but I thought I'd post them in case it does help someone else. These were the recommendations from the Customer Support contact for my ticket:

Try the steps below as well and let me know if you see any change.

Open up Device Manager
Expand your Sound, video and game controller entry
Disable NVIDIA High Definition Audio
Disable NVIDIA Virtual Audio Device
Confirm there are no driver updates available for your standard audio device

Open up NVIDIA Control Panel
Manage 3D Settings
Program Settings
Select or add MechWarrior Online (mwoclient.exe)
Vertical Sync = Adaptive
Triple Buffering = On

In the MWO video settings, turn V-Sync Off.

Getting freezes on many the maps now the worst being Mining colony (more than myself there). On mining colony seeing 2 to 3 disconnected players per average. The mining map will crash my computer to desktop during play unless I hit ctr +alt +del immediately access task manager and then jump right back into MWO.

System specs
Z77 mother board
core I-7 3.5 ghz
Windows 8.1 operating system ( all updates installed)
32 gig ram (gamming ram 8 gb stick low latency ) 8 x4
Video card GTX 650 TI BOOST 2 GB
game and operating system is installed on Kingston SSD 6gb's

Current driver 344.60

I forced the various SLI modes and still experienced horrible performance with my pair of cards, so I slipped it back to single GPU mode and it appears to be running fine now. Also there's a new 344.65 (with probably no changes but I'll give it a whirl anyway) that came out on the 10th.

Followed some the advice Ryankamun II gave from his tech support ticket fixed a lot issues for me.

Namely the following :

Open up NVIDIA Control Panel
Manage 3D Settings
Program Settings
Select or add MechWarrior Online (mwoclient.exe)
Vertical Sync = Adaptive
Triple Buffering = On
One those settings seemed to fix my stability issues.

As Giggity mentioned, weird artifacts, ghosting, and overlay issues when running the SLI Profile should be resolvable through the following method:

Access NVIDIA Control Panel
Manage 3D Settings
Program Settings
Add or access the profile for MWOclient.exe (not mechwarrioronline.exe)
Set your SLI Rendering Mode to 'Force alternate frame rendering mode 1'

Feel free to report back here with any changes you see

???

What's SLI have to do with this?

I'm telling you the last three driver versions from nVidia have screen freezes in them, all the versions that mentioned MW: O by name …

The freeze issues are ongoing and are high-priority fixes.

I was referring specifically to the SLI issues, as they had been discussed in this thread previously.

It's getting worse for me, Alex.
Using the lastest nvidia drivers (344.65) not only did I experience screen freezes, but for the first time in years I had a bluescreen crash under Windows7. I also had the nvidia driver crash and recover one time, but I was able to continue to play.
