Me too. As it seems we've traded the occasional screen freeses for a constant low fps and frequent fps drops. With the recent patches my fps is down from a decent 60 to 40 and it often touches the tens. It's a little better with DX11(Previously i used DX9, because with DX11 it was much slower.)

Trust me Diszno my friend, the DX9 is worse. Or at least on my rig the DX11 is better. The fps drops are the same but the base fps is higher.

I went ahead and tried that, already have the most up to date DX versions, wouldn't let me install over them.
It only happens with this game though :/ And, it's a somewhat recent development. It didn't happen before I took my couple month break from the game.

I also took a few months of hiatus, and returned... to this totally unplayable situation...

Recent patch history: In the past ~2 months I came back for some more fun. The game rarely freezes anymore on the older maps. The new industrial nightime city map causes a freeze about 90% of matches that I play on it.

Update: I dropped 3 more matches. First 2 were fine, but this 3rd one shows some of the freezing. Near the end is the most substantial freeze (in front of a Direwolf of course) although it can be much worse. Recorded with Shadowplay and it seems almost spot on to the ingame experience audio and video wise.

what Iwas seeing was 100-120FPS but if I fired weapons or other stuff happened, they would drop to 50 and back to 100 and back to 50 and so on. It was like being in a car and applying the brakes then mashing the gas and then applying the brake and mashing the gas.
game was nearly unplayable because of the constant fast/slow. This wasn't even stutter or freezing, it was nice gently slow down and then speed up. it was very strange.
v-sync on = constant 60fps and no weirdness.
this is using 1680x1050, everything at high, and DX11, no AA.

Confirm there are no driver updates available for your standard audio device
Open up NVIDIA Control Panel
Manage 3D Settings
Program Settings
Select or add MechWarrior Online (mwoclient.exe)

Namely the following :
Open up NVIDIA Control Panel
Manage 3D Settings
Program Settings
Select or add MechWarrior Online (mwoclient.exe)
Vertical Sync = Adaptive
Triple Buffering = On
One those settings seemed to fix my stability issues.

Access NVIDIA Control Panel
Manage 3D Settings
Program Settings
Add or access the profile for MWOclient.exe (not mechwarrioronline.exe)
Set your SLI Rendering Mode to 'Force alternate frame rendering mode 1'
Feel free to report back here with any changes you see

What's SLI have to do with this?
I'm telling you the last three driver versions from nVidia have screen freezes in them, all the versions that mentioned MW: O by name …

I was referring specifically to the SLI issues, as they had been discussed in this thread previously.

It's getting worse for me, Alex.
Using the lastest nvidia drivers (344.65) not only did I experience screen freezes, but for the first time in years I had a bluescreen crash under Windows7. I also had the nvidia driver crash and recover one time, but I was able to continue to play.
