Was just about to order a wrath pack cuz I heard it comes with the atlas apparently, a good bonus, and you get the crab, just about to push the buy button, but now it is unavailable which kinda sucks, so never mind.

Lame.

" We plan to run one more injection of the Atlas AS7-S!

To offer those who missed their chance to take part:
This injection will take place with the November 4th patch, so the newest and final deadline to be eligible to receive this 'Mech will be November 4th at 10AM PST / 1PM EST / 6PM UTC.]

To be eligible, you will have to have purchased a Founders, Phoenix, Clan Wave 1, Clan Wave 2, or Resistance Collection of any level. "

You missed it by 4 hours, and you only had to order the lowest (Fire?) pack.

You can still use that full Zeus-level pack for a King Crab.

Yeah, I checked it just as I left work and seen it was still available. I am waiting until this Friday to purchase it. When I seen the post above, I thought that maybe I had misread the date. Thanks Shar!

The Panther never was a fast runner (speed in TT was only 4/6/4 I believe) but it packed a nice punch.
Clans now got a fast medium, right, but so does the IS with the Cicada...

It still can max out at 129 with a 250 engine. We'll see if it can thrive at that speed or needs to carry more weapons to make a difference. The problem is that the difference between a 250 and a 225 XL is effectively 1.5 tons (need to add 1 ton for an extra HS), and 3 tons for a 250 to a 200 (need 2 heat sinks), and it impacts cooling as well. Plus, with hands, it's short crit spaces like the Firestarter, so FF may not work well.

Still, that's 13-16 tons of weapons with max armor (and you can shave off a half-ton pretty easily). It has potential to hit hard for an IS light.

That's what I thought, but I've been trying to get them to fix the FAQ (which is now wrong) for over a week.

I sent a PM to Nico about it on the 31st myself.

Some of the colors remind me of other unit colors. So out of speculation, I made this comparison to the miniatures, unit names and camo patterns we may (or may not) get.

House Davion: Davion Guards RCT

This one was obvious from the get-go

House Kurita: 1st Ghost Regiment
Posted Image
Posted Image
The Red is the favored "Kurita Pride" color.

House Marik: Free World Legionnaires
Posted Image
Posted Image

House Liao: Death Commandos
Posted Image

Free Rasalhague Republic: 2nd Kavalleri

I have no idea where the orange came from.

As for House Steiner, I have no idea what unit they are based on.

Sorry if this has been stated at some point, just don't have time to read through 14 pages of posts...

Any idea if there's going to be an a-la-carte option for the resistance pack? I'd like to support the game through a purchase, but I've already got way more than enough light mechs, many I like and pilot well. I could use another heavy option and would be interested in purchasing it if possible through a-la-carte.

Thanks!

If I buy a Resistance Pack (Wrath Pack), how many colors will I get from it?

It WAS the 9S - but enough people complained (in the right places - in the right ways) that they changed it to the 6S.

so now we must gather those people to have them complain in the right places and in the right ways again, to change the Grasshopper ® variant to the 5H (instead of the 5J), as the 5H is the standard variant, no?

The only issue I have with this is the wait to Febuary and March, but oh well I paid for them now I have to wait for them :( They do look really nice the Zues I wonder what quirks they might give it or some of the other mechs that they have in the package. I am really looking forward to the panther. I know it is a light mech but it is iconic because in the lore (story books) they are one of the main lights in the story packing usually a ppc for skirmishing.

The other mechs such as the enforcer looks cool as well. Humanoid in build, kinda gunslinger look to it as well with the arm weapons. In truth just the looks make me want to play it. Nice job to the artist. The grasshopper though to me doesn't look as good as the enforcer, but just the fact it is going to be a jump jet featured mech in heavy class with side torso weapons and head missile pod (just looking at the drawing). It looks like it will be another zombie mech build that hopefully will be fun and tough for the clans to take down.

Lastly the Zues also looks to be a zombie build for an assault. I know we have the Atlas with 2 mediums in the CT and stalkers with mediums in the CT but at the lower end of the weight scale for assaults there is only the Awesome which has CT weapons right? More like head weapons, but anyway this adds an IS mech with CT laser (I know only one but better then none). This may be a non factor but when you are in a mech with no CT weapons and the enemy chews off the side torsos you kinda feel like a loser running around with nothing so to me it increases its value by its effectiveness even though it loses side torsos.

Talk to Bishop Steiner - he apparently did the work for the Battlemaster, but declined to do it for the others.

I'm not overly worried about it myself
Having the 3025 variants would be cool - but the 3050 variants would have been more likely to be the ones "resisting" the clans.

Don't think that Bishop Steiner, as he (she?) declined others, would listen to a completely stranger like me ;)

The Grasshopper (5H) was my absolute favorite mech in TT in the old days, when I played it (gosh, must be nearly 20 years ago by now, damn...). So that would be more some sort of a nostalgy thing - but ok, the other variant will do as well since I've only played F2P till now, grinding along the hard roads of TBolts, some yet still unmastered Kintaros and my BJ (which actually brings in the earnings ;) ). Thinking of buying a pack here, so ANY mech with a cbill boost will be special for me ;) And they come with mechbays, wu-hu! ;)

Anyway, hm, another thing. There are some good explanations about colors and camos in this thread so thanks folks for that. But if one buys a Pack which grants more then one faction pack (say, 4) is there any benefit in choosing the same faction multiple times? Or are we better off in choosing 4 different factions (in this example)? Don't think I'll be joining some of the factions, but when there's no benefit in choosing multiple times the same faction, than I would go for the colors (as main thing) with the other factions.
(As I understand it: colors, once received/bought, can be used on any mech in possession, not only on those in this pack, right? thx)
