I can make the others work but the IV seems ... underwhelming. Two AC5 and there's not much room for else in it - and what you have lacks a punch.

What do you all run?

The IV-Four really doesnt have the tonnage to be able to do the double autocannons, not when the chassis needs a fairly decent sized engine and 2-3 tons for jump jets already. What I have been running in mine is a single ballistic leaving one of my arms empty to serve as a damage shield along with SRMs and medium lasers.

This is what I run on mine:
IV-Four: 1xAC10, 2xASRM6, 2xML, AMS, 2xJJ http://mwo.smurfy-ne...f780c95e01eff18

While those both look like you're making the best of a bad situation .... they both look like you're making the best of a bad situation ;-)

This is going to be rough ....

Remember, any mech can be strong with the right pilot and situation. The key is knowing what that situation is for your mech and having the piloting skills to capitalize on it when it happens.

Yes, I know a savvy pilot can do wonders while driving a sandwich. It's still a sandwich ;-)

The IV is so slow and cumbersome.

These setups are effective(dont forget the cooldown modules for the main weapons):

Allrounder

Allrounder with UAC:s

Mini-Victor

Mini-Victor v2

Brawler with STD engine

Great thing about AC5:s and UAC5:s is the lack of heat and fast cycle time,Terra Therma and Tourmaline is ezpz with above setups.

My strategy when using dual ballistics is to facetank or shadow a dire wolf/brawler atlas, when he engages,i do too,and if i dont get any or little incoming fire i dont stop until the enemy is dead, which is quite fast, just keep the trigger buried on those autocannons and srms, dont touch the lasers, they are there for the last resort.1 v 1 brawling works too, only things you need to avoid is meta-whales and all srm-setups.
