Battletech Longbow = Destroid Phalanx

Pretty good list can be found here,
http://brianscache.com/unseen/

Those marked as Macross... likelyhood is 0.01% chance of making it into the game.

Why can they use some of the phoenix mechs but not all the phoenix mechs?

And arent Catalyst working WITH PGI?

Not all the Phoenix mechs had legal issues with the same people. None of the currently released Phoenix mechs are related to the Harmony Gold problem. The Marauder is from Macross. If I remember correctly, PGI have already attempted contacting Harmony Gold several times and they have outright refused no matter what.

The timberwolf is essentially a marauder with JJs and more hardpoints.

Yes and no.

It's supposed to have Marauder like arms, but the rest is based off the Catapult, including the legs.

Did Catalyst get sued for using their designs?

Not that I know of, but then again Catalyst can probably call on Topps' legal department if HG gets funny ideas.

I know for a fact that the Marauder IIc is NOT a bloody classic iconic mech, it is a second liner, translated for you this means that no real trueborn warrior would willingly drive one, is was reserved for garrison duty and homeworld defence by Solahma units so get your facts right before you blast PGI for not knowing their mechs.

And thanks for telling me your a "trueborn warrior" as well!! that is super duper impressive!! here I thought we were playing a game... how silly of me eh?

I'm just going to leave this link here, Jonny. Please read it so you can be clear as to what he's actually talking about. You'll see he's not saying that he's a "trueborn warrior", but rather referencing setting information from BattleTech canon.

Additionally, when he says "second liner", he's referring to a classification of Clan mech. The Clans have front line mechs, piloted by their elite mechwarriors in front line combat against their foes, and second line mechs, which are piloted by Solahma (warriors considered too old to be effective in combat, generally anyone over 30-35 years old; these individuals are usually relegated to garrison duty) or those who are considered to be poor mechwarriors. The front line mechs are those considered the most powerful, effective, and prestigious, and are generally omnimechs. The second line mechs are considered less powerful, outdated, or simply ineffective, and are generally only used by Solahma and lesser mechwarriors who have no hope of achieving glory.

So, what he's saying, is that the Marauder IIC is considered to be underpowered, and something that none of the Clans' warrior-elite would be caught dead piloting.

I am very well versed in all the Orig BT, rules, expansions, spin-offs, novels, etc.. but thanks!

And no mate, he was clearly implying that he was a "trueborn warrior" and I was clearly poking fun at someone taking them self and their personal opinions waaaaaaaaay to seriously! :)

And I loved the Marauder, win, lose, overheat... it was tons and tons of fun, and a classic silhouette that the many casual and tournament BT TT gamers I have known over the years loved!!
