So You Asked For The Resistance Pack

And should people that play clan mechs exclusively be pissed now? They only had 2 chances and had to pay a premium for their access to the KC.
I think PGI did the right thing, I really do, and I commend them for reaching the right decision. Just wish people would focus more on what they have rather than what others have.
So if you whined about an IS only pack and/or wanted to put the Phoenix back up for sale, did you buy the Resistance pack?

I raged out how after buying the Clan Wave 2, it felt like Resistance packers were getting more content for less.
Somewhere in the middle of doing all that I bought the Enforcer level Rage pack.

ROTFLMAO....omg....this is so funny......
also...the pricing structure they said was similar to the phoenix pack...and it was lower because the IS mechs C-bill value is lower, so the $ to "exhange rate" makes them cheaper and the clans cost more so they cost more $
as for bonus reward goodies....well, there are 4 factions for clans, 6 for IS....and they get a extra cockpit item instead of a free camo.....thats seems fair enough to me.....as for the faction camo, most IS players will probably only use 1, especially if it is branded. (the steiner fist or a kurita dragon will not go on my mechs...nope....nuh-uh...) (and same could go for clanners i suppose, but those camos seem more general, minus maybe CSJ's) but we'll have to see once they post the art on those

Talking about arbitrary c-bill values is meaningless because it is a currency some of us only use for buying weapons and equipment for our packs we bought for the preorder price. We buy the packs to play the mechs, we just happen to earn c-bills while we play. We rack up c-bills that we won't be spending on mechs because we have the ones we want, or the ones we want but don't have are hero mechs or we can get in packs.
I look at the products that are available, 4 mechs for $120 or 4 mechs for $80. One is clearly a better value. If someone told me that one pack has mechs that are worth a lot more c-bills, what the hell does it matter to me since I don't spend c-bills on mechs?
Full disclosure, I bought some Shadow Hawks because they were super cheap, although I wanted to buy a champion, they forgot to discount it, and the sale ended while I was waiting for them to notice. Normally you can not buy 3 mediums for 8 million c-bills, so this was like a special case. I earned the c-bills for these Shadow Hawks by playing clan Mechs I bought a la carte.

ok, MC costs then...MC costs for clans are nearly double a similar IS mech....so, clearly the clan pack is the better value.
anyway you slice it, its all made up numbers, on made up mechs, in a made up game, based on a made up universe for another made up game. the various forms of money all around the world, the money in your pocket is assigned "arbitrary values", down to the words we are using to describe this process, all made up...but they mean something to people, so they are worth something. we assign values of items based on what they are worth to us...if they are asking more than what you assign their value, don't buy them...simple economics.

I am already waiting for the Clan Wave II.
Beside, if I had to bought one, the only Mech of the pack I would take would be the Grasshopper.
I am waiting for the Black Knight and the Cyclops.

I also have a compulsive need for unique Mechs... Not buying the pack was completely out of the question from the get-go.
But hey, Resistance pack!
