Range On Turrets

So everyone knows by now the range on LRM base turrets is long but just how long and should it be fixed. This is a screen from river city I never left base at the start of the match I had LRM warnings with no enemy mechs in line of sight. I thought it was maybe a fast LRM boat but the match had just started not even the spiders are that fast. Then I see where it's coming from it's the LRM 5 from the enemy base I'm standing 29 m behind my own base turret and the one from there base is hitting me. How can PGI even say they are close to CW when they can't even fix the stuff they have in now. I let it kill me and I plan on letting it kill me every match I'm in from now till it's fixed. I'm also going to start quitting out of the new map every time I get it. I should not have to bring up task manager every time I'm on it just to keep playing.

Lrms have a range of up to 1000m. River city is a very small map and the bases are very close together (about 700-800m) that being said the turrets will auto lock you on their own if you arn't in an ECM bubble.

The lasers have too much range/accuracy too.

At 4 minutes and 26 seconds in, the match didn't just start (matchtime left on your screenshot is 10:34).
Please post a screenshot where this happens within the first 20 seconds and I might believe you.

Seriously, quitting a match over your inability to get out of the way of a stationary, LRM turret is pathetic. Less Q please.

The only thing id really like changed about turrets and then i could live with all other issues
HAVE THEM SHOW UP ON OUR RADAR PROPERLY!!!!
very aggravating being fired at by a turret and it never shows up on your radar and its not under ECM cover. Ive been within 400 meters of turrets and they still aren't showing up as targets.
Now things id like
-Remove/tone down the super armor while not deployed makes it almost impossible to try to take them out from range.
-remove their aim bot a little bit or at least give it a SLIGHT randomization on what components it targets. i know currently it targets weakest component but maybe make it so like 3 of 5 shots will be aimed there the other 2 would hit something else or miss completely.
-reduce the range THEY can target mechs to like 600 meters, only let them hit targets farther with assistance from defenders.

the only issue I have with LRM turrents is that they still cause damage at less than 180m in my experience.

I agree.
All turrets should really be, is a way to slow down a base rush, not eliminate it in +90% of the matches.

To be targeted and hit that far away you would have to be targeted by an opposing mech.

it took that long for me to find what was hitting me. But feel free to try it yourself you can see the spot I was standing on.

I hate them. on some maps they reach past the middle point and make it suicide late game! when your last guy is a whale with no armor, orange torso, fighting a crippled stormcrow with a single medium laser left, and from more than halfway across the map an LRM blast from a turret comes and takes him out, you get pissed.
They seem super inconsistant too, sometimes I don't even remember they are there because they don't lock and fire, next game on the same map, they hit me from a super long distance. They should be limited to only firing at 500 meters, maybe give them an srm 2 to compensate for the limited range. I swear they also get a tag bonus, if the enemy has you tagged and you are on the very edge of their firing range, they will fire on you.
