Think about it. The Jenner was the best scoring IS mech. You can't dismiss it as a fluke because the top 15 in the Jenner class would smash any other IS class.
It was THE best ranking mech up until Saturday afternoon I think...
I am not bragging either... I only ranked 70th...
So what do you all think this means for a lowly IS light mech?

That's what it means.

As a dedicated Jenner Pilot this is more true than most will admit. When you can put 30 points of damage into an open torso doing 150 KPH your going to fry them. Happens all the time.
If anything the CT of the Jenner needs to be addressed, its 80% of the damn mech I swear!

It is one of the gold standards of Light mechs and other light mechs should be as well designed.

That's how a lot of lights play. I do the same with the Raven. See a crit torso, unload 3 MLasers and 2 SRM4s into it....Profit.
I just assumed that was common knowledge.
Light = Vulture.

If there's one thing that needs to be fixxed is probably the wobbling hitboxxes when just simply tapping your jumpjets while running, doesn't drop your speed but sure as hell messes the damage of anyone trying to hit you (specialy with lasers)

I doubt they will even touch any of the mechs since they already planned the quirk pass several weeks ago.

While it's easier to get a good tourney score with a powerful mech than a weak mech, we shouldn't try to use tourney score as a measure of robot viability. It's a matter of correlation rather than causation.

i never said it was a bad thing, just an explanation of why the jenner is going to be top-teir during a challenge that rewards kills over all else.

Still doesn't it strike anyone as odd that Jenners scored so much better in a system that is based on Kills>assists>damage?
Lights are opportunistic I get that, but why Jenners above and beyond all other lights?
Is it the simplicity of the loadout (though still robust)?
Higher survivability?
Easier to pilot?
I am honestly not trying to troll, just curious... my two main chassis are Jenner and Cicada, I live for speed (except when driving an ECM AC20 Cicada). I guess I am just wondering if there is some flaw in the game that you unless you live in extreme speed or incredible loadout/durability, you are disadvantaged...
wait a minute... I think I finally get min/maxing...

It emans that the mech does have potential when its polited right. Just because many don't do it or don't can it doesn't makes it a bad mech.
there is nothing wrong with the jenner, ist quick it has great hitboxes. A light as a light should be. 6 ML on a fast hit and run mech, Opps running hot, no problem im hidding just here now where it is safe.
I really don't get why the light queue is so emtpy, tbh I think many lights are better than most mediums even. Mediums hardly have more punch and their HP ae not significantly better in comparison to how much they are slower (except Circada and some kintaro builds).
