I am trying to make some easy macros that will send a message to my team. I managed to make one for UAV on my mouse, but I keep loosing control of my mech each time I use it. On a light it's fine, but on the assault I keep derping around. If I try to make one where everything is done in one keystroke mwo gets crazy and open menus and what not during the game.
The only way I managed to do something useful was with press/release function on my mouse.
Press boutan = "press the equivalent mwo bouton for team chat"
Release boutan = "write the stuff i wanted + enter"
Is there anyway that would allow me to do that, without all the craziness of one keystroke, or the weird lag/ loss of control with the press/release.

Chat Macro

I can't believe MWO decided not to use in game voice chat considering how important communication is in this game. And I find it mind-boggling that they didn't even bother to put in voice chat keyboard shortcuts.
I still remember some of the Return to Castle Wolfenstein combos: V53. "Zee enemy is veakened" (I always played Germans).
Seriously tho......
Imagine if you pressed V, and then 2 other keys to have the game say to your team or just your lance:
1)I need help now in grid F6
2) They're behind us
3) Return to base
4) UAV
etc.

Tribes Ascend had a pretty good voice system (inspired by and expanded upon the one in the original Unreal Tournament), easy to use in the thick of things. MWO is a much slower game, adopting something like that would literally cost a few thousand bucks in voice talents, and a few hours of coding. The investment would quickly pay back with voice packs.

I'm pretty sure the system in Tribes Ascend was inspired by the original Tribes, which to this day still has the best in game communication system ever. Excluding actual voice chat of course.

This game could use some voice macros in game like Battlefield had.....
Like when you launch your UAV, a message is broadcast to all your allies, "UAV active, Battlegrid updates inbound". Hopefully in a pilot's voice and not Bitchin betty.....she really is kinda annoying to listen to....
base is being captured, base is 75% captured, base is 80% captured, base is being captured, enemy base is being captured, base is 90% captured, enemy base is being captured, enemy base is 50% captured, base is captured.........every like 5 damn seconds......

That's right, I thought UT predated Tribes, my mistake.

Comm Rose is the best. Gets around language barriers too.
