DAMN there would be some crazy builds and legit tanking mechs f there was no armor cap... never even thought of that, although I get that you are kidding.

I wish they would take off the limit off . It would fix a lot of problems with mechs.

lights legs,atlas/jag side, a1 arms and so on

It would also make ridiculously OP mechs out of others that generally have much more weight to spare.

Yeah, this is just one of those things. It sounds some mechs with problems would benefit but the really good mechs would be even better.

Well, the cap on armor is equal to double to "stock" value.

Why not raise the armor cap to a % higher than that?

Are you saying that an additional 10 tons of Armor on a Dire Wolf would be bad?

I might get over my aversion to the lack of arm movement if it were allowed to do so. ;)

Clam mechs already have less customization (non weapons) than IS, why not continue that?

Make it an IS feature.

More armor (IS) / more potential firepower (clam)

There's an idea for Ferro; to make it not useless.

Raise the cap by 20%.

Oh come on you can do something about it on the few mechs who has more weight then weapons. I dont have any mechs right now with 100% armor.

If you go over the normal amount armor increased in weight. says 2 tons of weight for 1 ton of armor.

Or just allow us to put the normal armor where we want. If i want to take 20 tons off my legs for my sides i should be able to.

This, I could get behind. You have to give something up somewhere to get the benefit.

No front armor, harsh language may take that one down.

Yeah...they really need to address the uselessness of Ferro in this game. This doesn't seem like a bad idea to me.

I've always liked how easily the DW packs two gauss and two ppcs.

With 5 tons of ammo I pack in a MKVII TC and heat sinks for the rest of the weight....it would be interesting to deal with 950 m/s PPCs blasts instead of 1100 in exchange for a shitload more armor in the front of my gigantic torsos.

In MW4 they way they did slots I always found more damage from 2 gauss, 1 ppc, and two LRM20 racks though.

The original 3025TRo had a printing error. The Hunchback had Structure equal to a Archer... So when I went to Modify my first few... AMAZING armor!

IF the armor cap was adjusted with ferro, the DW would not get it.
