And I was a heck of a critic. The entire front page of the general discussion may be complaints, but my enjoyment has increased, and I like the recent and upcoming changes.
Still want inverse kinematics and my sweet armor flaking back. But. Youre doing a hell of a job.
Every change you make will have detractors, whether or not its a good or bad change. Even when its a bad change, someone will tell you its a good change.
So uh. Keep up the good work

Yeah everyone wants rapid improvement, but thats just not reality. Have we seen big sweeping changes? No...but we've seen baby steps in the right direction and thats more than you can say for the last year.
And there are some good discussions going on. Not trying to paint everyone as a complainer, theres plenty of people who I think, like me, arent totally convinced, but were definitely happy to see the change, and see the babysteps in the right direction.
Sometimes we can get caught up focusing on a few negative things and miss the bigger picture. Are rewards perfect? Will quirks be perfect? No...but theyre better than they were before. Theyre at least honest attempts to do right by the fans.

Yes, the new player experience is a big thing for me but I'll have to wait until after CW for those improvements.

Yeah and until you have something for a new player to really enjoy, whats the point of bringing them in. Its like bringing them into the lobby of a sweet hotel while its under construction and theres dust and signs and wood everywhere. People just remember the bad experience. Balance isnt bad lately, things are getting better there. Soon there wll be "Something to Do TM" and then you can focus on trying to bring people in to see something remotely resembling a finished product.

Yeah, it's easy to find angry people on the internet, and people who are angry are more likely to speak up. I know I'm looking forward to quirks, the new map, and CW.

I think people had their own ideas of what Quirks were going to mean, and some of the quirks don't match that. While I will admit to questioning a few of them myself, I've only seen one that really makes me scratch my head (The K2 missing PPC quirks). Between that, and the "I want it now" mentality, you get a lot of screamers.

Its ppcs still got marginally better, but now its got options.
Though frankly I went 2 ERLL and 2 UAC5s and enjoyed that. Which would still be better than it was before quirks. People seem to have expected alot of +50% AWESOME TO ALL WEAPONS! and got +12.% to range, and another 12.% if you throw on some medium lasers.
And heck if the quirks were TOO powerful, you end up with even more time to kill problems. So baby steps is good.
It cant be all things to all people.

That was Beta Hotel. We're in Launched Over A Year Ago Hotel.
At some point you have to go down and beat on the manager's door and tell him to get his scrap in order.

lol fair point.
We'll just shovel that blame on the hotels managing partner who was subsequently ejected from the 12th story penthouse suite.
If the signs are still up next year...we've got some problems.

I thoroughly disagree. And most people would disagree with you, I think. I rarely see CPLT-K2s, and certainly less than 10% of them have PPCs. It's mostly gauss and AC10+medium lasers.

Pin point convergence is a horrible decision, 3PV still runs me the wrong way, and still no CW.
Here you can take my white knight hat and smoke it with whatever it is youre on. Aint no white knight here. Just happy to see the changes.

I kinda like Krafty's white knight posts. They're way better and nicer than most of the others. I'm pretty gray and I think he's very relatable.

Its crazy that you can throw the best hardware money can buy at this game and still play a chop and pop-up filled game.
I can run some of the most demanding games out there in the 120-150fps range. Why on earth can't I get this to run at a smooth and constant frame rate somewhere between 30 and 60 with no chop/lag when the ballistics and missiles get out of hand or terrain appearing and disappearing?

It's not a black-and-white system. You can be 95% correct and still try to fix the 5% that you missed.
