This has been a lot of fun. It was challenging enough that MOST games qualified, but not every one. And the grab bag items were just enough to keep me wanting to play.

Do I hear jingle bells in the future with another holiday event?

Just for kicks, I added up my take (like so many others). For those who are working out averages (because I know your out there), out of 78 qualifying games I got:

2,275,000 c-bills
340 MC
5,100 GXP

1 Skull Face
2 Halloween Lights

3 Air Strike
4 UAV
2 Artillary
3 Coolant

2 1/2 ton MG ammo (ooo.... a whole ton of ammo!! What will I ever do with it LOL)
1 Flamer
1 Small Laser

around 58 games, 11 failes ( one dc, rest stupid mistakes or stomps).

1x mechbay
2400 GXP
315 MC
1.925 Million C-Bills
2x Halloween Pumpkin
1x Halloween skull Face
1x day premium time
5x Consumables
6x Trick - AMS ammo/single heatsink.

There were some very close games and some very annoying or bad games.
I'd say half of the games were stomps, at least.

The outcome was very welcome and it was still a lot more fun than any other tournament.
My best time was friday night. My worst was saturday morning.
Maybe EU timezone is just too strong sometimes.

Experience shows that the Europeans are often much more brazen and likely to run full on charges than their American counterparts. I think that potentially Europeans may run more LRM's too.. ..just general experiences from the last few years...

Down here in Oz we just sit by the barbie with our VB and shrimps.. ..we got sharks and spiders to do all the killing for us <_<

The event was fine, but we could have the treat bag threshold a bit higher, giving out prizes at 70-100 points.

16 GXP Treats (4,400 Total)
7 MC Treats (220 Total)
2 Days of Premium Time
1 Halloween Pumpkin (Standing Item)
3 Halloween Skull Face (Hanging Item)
2 Improved Coolant Pod

I think the point was more of a holiday gift to the players though, and increasing the requirements would have kinda been a tournament, not a gift giveaway, which keeping them fairly easy did.

I love the event, thanks for the MC, C-bills, and GXP PGI! You should definitely make a Christmas variation of this event. :)

I understand where people who suggested a tiered reward scale comes from.

I don't think that is a good idea because that will again bring back the element of fighting for the highest of everything. People will then start to complain of kill stealing, blocking their shots, meta builds, etc, etc.

The current system of 30 points with no layers is best. It's easy enough to hit most of the time even for new players and encourages team play which doesn't matter if you WIN or LOSE.

I prefer the current system than a tiered model.

How did you calculate this? as some MC packages are better values than others.

My question is, how did they give out this much MC? I believe there was just a post on the forums about how Canadian law prohibited them from delving out more than X amount of money in prizes. ( I certainly don't think that number was higher than the triple digits)

Ultimately, that's the cool part of virtual currency. It's technically not real money, since you can't sell it back for real money.

I want to add my voice to the appreciation of this event! It was great!

I had only limited time to play, and was trying to figure out the CN9-AH at the same time, so i missed the 30pts a couple of times, but this was still one of the best events i've ever seen in MW:O or any other game for that matter.
