None of the Tier 1s got anything. That Jenner-F didn't get anything, either.

also...tier 1, has JJ

other non-JJ, non-ECM tier 1 mechs will get 1 quirk, if they follow their stated "pattern"

The whole point of quirks is to give them to the 'worse' mechs in order to get people to play them. The Ember is not a mech you don't see people playing, so it won't get any/many quirks.

In the tournaments pretty much every team used Embers as their go to light mech. Even in preference over the Raven 3L.

You note that the Victors didn't get anything at all except for the removal of their negative quirks.

I use my ember for the cbill boost I dont find it better than any of my other fire starters. I bet most people do the same.

I actually think the FS9-K is my best, but I pilot the Ember for the monies.

ha...found this...actually, no tier 1 mechs get quirks....the tier 1 quirks for the victor are negative quirks removed...only other tier 1 is the CTF-3D..which....has JJs

The ember and the Jenner F are the premier light mechs for comp play.

This. You might not, but it's generally accepted as the best light mech competitively at the moment.

Then they should have given the ember and jenner perks outside of their usual configuration -- to make alternate builds (4 mls + 4 mg for ember, 6 mls for jenner) more viable.

Except that quirks are going to the non-tier 1 mechs.

Ember is a monster. At least from what I can see it didn't really need any help.

Sure, how about some AC buffs or a PPC buff.

The Ember is not only the best light 'mech, but it's the only light 'mech that the uber-competitive groups will use now in high-level competitive play. I haven't seen a Jenner F anywhere near the top of a group tournament in months now, and it's no wonder. The Ember has more effective firepower than a Jenner, has enormously better hitboxes, and still has jump jets & the same approximate speed.

Did you know that the Ember has 77.6% better sustained DPS than the Jenner F? That doesn't even count the increased critical damage, which further increases this figure near the end of fights. The Ember is absolutely superior in a brawl; the Jenner F's only advantage is at hit-and-run, which isn't how competitive matches are played. (While the Jenner F is cooling off, his team is dying to the enemy Ember, all else equal.)

The ember is such an easy godmode mech (even after mg tweaks) that I barely play mine. Godmode is only so fun for so long, It has like half the play time of my hero spider.
