That's a neat redesign, definitely makes it more attractive.

Also, can we call it the Crab Bus now? Since the cockpit looks like a bus with no wheels?

Star trek my dual AC 20's/Gauss Rifles Clanners!.

XL light engine and double heat sinks.

Gauss Rifle 1 = 15 Damage
Gauss Rifle 2 = 15 Damage
ER large laser = 8
ER large laser = 8
LRM 20 = 20

66 damage at long range

Vs the clan 100 toner (Dire Wolf)

4 ER large Lasers = 40
2 Ultra AC 5 = 20
LRM 10 = 10

70 damage at long range.

No problem going one on one with the Clan in the King Crab can .

The next mech is a Highlander. It's undeniable.

We lack an Assault with Jumpjets. It's basically a slightly smaller Atlas that can jump.

You know the Devs are looking at your post and saying "Denied!" while they move the Highlander back to mech 15 or 16. Just because you said that. DENIED!

Man's got a point though. There's no 90 ton Mech so far and JJs are basically the icing on the cake. It's also one of the Mechs that dates back to the Starleague and gave name to one of the most impressive manoeuvers a pilot can pull off. The Highlander Burial or DFA in plain speak (Death from Above). Plus, you get a Gauss Rifle as standard armament (see for yourself -> http://www.sarna.net/wiki/Highlander). What's not to like about it?

Personaly I wuld whant a Bane mech. Projectile hardpoints on the arms, yes pleas. To many lasers to litle projectiles... Whats up with all the lasers >.<!
