those Clan really need their arms adjusted, i play 97% of my game time being a laser nerd.
so i know what i am talking about, the following Mechs are in serious need of adjustment.

Nova,
Arms at least 5% higher and at least 10% more to the middle.
atm they carry a sign like shot my arms while they are the also the widest mechs ingame for no reason at all. (includeing ghost heat) this mech is not even worthy of being called a clan mech more a triple C mech.

Timber,
those arms are far to low, they need at least be upped by 7%

Maybe they should mount an nuclear missile launcher on their 3rd toe too?

Don't expect too much sympathy here for any positive Clan tweaks.

If any mech could use some love, it's the Nova... crippled by ghost heat she is.

The decades-long anti-Clan Crusade is still alive and kicking and its devotees at last smell victory.

These 'Mechs have had their designs for decades. Nova has always been double-wide, and Timber Wolf has always had low-slung arms. Not going to change now, except when absolutely necessary (like having no rear-facing weapons and some 'Mechs like the Jenner and Nova getting torso-twist).

Learn to live with it, or don't use them.

I had no issue with mine. It's not always about shoe-horning in the biggest weapons.... :)

I'm not even talking the biggest weapons, I'm talking about the stock prime...

And I am saying that it is not necessary. :)

Ghost heat did hurt it, but honestly, that thing would be hurting regardless in this "alpha fire is my only option" environment.

I love the Nova, always have. That's why I still run it and like its mixture of mobility and firepower (ghost heat is killing it though) but the biggest weakness is how easy you are to completely disarm.

that might be the case, but we life "now" and MWO is a first person shooter where thing's like chassis volume matters.
i don't care about rear facing weapons, ghost heat, or a necessary nerf/buff's.

But i do care about my Cover and the Nova can't use Cover for **** because it's to wide.
the timber have their arm weapons almost touch the ground while standing in water they have more luck hitting a U-boat other then a mech bit below their horizon view.

I think anyone who says a mech 'needs' a 5% adjustment to something is being silly.

Just use jump jets on your timberwolf and tap them. Not only will its arms get 7% higher, but you'll be completely immune to damage for a few seconds every time you do it.

i don't use JJ, they are worthless and only gives potential less tonnage which you can ether add for heat sinks or more weapons. (or target computer for Clan)

Yes, but Clan JJ's are hard locked to omni-pods, so no choice but to take them.

the Nova is aborderline pointless mech by how its shaped, but the Timber has some nicee torso mounted hardpoints, make use of them.

What about the 5 bad Clams?

Kit Fox, Adder, Nova, Summoner, WarHawk? All are considered suboptimal, with some being tier 4.

Take everything with a grain of salt. Just remember that these are the people who would rejoice if all clan weapons did zero damage and produced 150 heat, claim IS superiority and never give it a second thought.

Warhawk have their arms a bit higher it's very notable compare to Timber.

are clan players always crying so much about IS players? no, seriously...I see much more "Is players are whiners" than actual IS player whining..

But keep it short... some Clan mechs are pretty damn amazing.. and honestly, and some are awful.. and adjusting something like "10% less wide, 5% more high" etc..wont do anything with balance..and I am not even talking about how difficult these changes could be..

Anyway...I fully support clan mech quirks.. I think adder, nova, summoner really need some serious quirking here or they wont see battlefield in serious games..

Not using S-pods on the Timber Wolf then... If using S torso pods on the Timber Wolf you get fixed JJ's in the side torso.

Same for the Kit Fox, they get them in the side torso as well as in the leg S pods....

No option to remove them, other than to switch to a different omni-pod in that location.
