I remember excitedly opening my TRO 2759 for the first time and reading these awesome names for mechs.

Sentinel - it's an egg on legs. Not bad, but doesn't exactly evoke the name Sentinel.
Wyvern - oh boy, a mech named after a dragon... Except it looks like an anorexic dude with a mask.
Champion - what happens when you put legs on a fighter plane.
Hoplite - As unsuitable the Wyvern was for its name, I have no frigging idea what caused this to happen.

I guess that's why I like the Black Knight so much - it looks like a knight.
