i can't imagine a game where i'd want pay $20 for any 1 item. Its the same reason i didn't buy Legendary over Elite, 3 more mechs at $20 a piece... not worth it to me. I won't be buying mechs at all with real money if thats how much they are going to cost.

As much as you may want your wet dreams of a warhammer to come true don't turn this into the WoT premium tanks issue.

The warhammer is pretty sweet, it was the only mech that I actually had as a toy figurine.

I understand a lot of people would love to see the Unseen.
However, I don't agree with making them only available to people who pay for them.
That would instantly turn the game into 'pay to win' (ignoring for a moment whether or not the Unseen are actually 'stronger' than other 'mechs).

If anything, cover the costs of bringing the Unseen into the game with profit made by all microtransactions combined.

How would that make it "Pay to Win"?? You need to understand that the developers need things to generate revenue. Offering unseen mechs is an excellent way to do so!!

As a person who has over 16k battles in WoT I am curious to the "fear" of premium tanks. Most of the time those tanks(premium) are inferior to the other tanks that are of the same tier. Prefect example is the American T-34. Its terrible... its only saving grace is the credits it generates. I would also say that you can train any American Heavy crew with it. So what is it with having credit generating mechs within MWO??

This is NOT intended to flame the poster. I am just curious....

I play PvP to win and blow players up. I can't see anymore mechs being added that will allow me to do that even better. It's just all graphics to me.

These mechs will have disadvantages like any mech.

Definately in the 10 to 20 dollar range, as much as I hate to admitit, paying for the royalties indivualy may be the only way to get the unseen in the game! ;)

I don't like it when there's something you can ONLY get with real money in a F2P game, so I voted "no" on both polls. I would love to have the Marauder, but not if I could only get it by paying.
However I'm not saying that I would absolutely not buy it if it is offered, I just don't hope that PGI's business model includes stuff like that ;)

If this is the only way, so be it. My only hope is that each of the Mechs in question can be countered effectively with another Mech that is bought with c-bills. This will be tricky in case of Marauder and Warhammer because their twin PPCs give them quite a nasty punch. It is one thing to introduce unseen Mechs because of public demand, but a completely differnt thing to errode the F2P principle of the game as a whole and make way for P2W. Warhammer and Marauder are killing machines that can be bought for money and if they run rampant, you will see another T59 incident (WoT reference). I'm sure that nobody wants to see that and both Mechs don't deserve bad press or PGI by extension.

I'm with WhiteTiger, I'd pay for an unseen mech especially if I could custom the paint job... then I would imagine everyone saying "oh $#__! its Biffer" when then saw it. The Marauder is 2nd... good thing the Madcat looks like the Marauder ;o)

I dont mind paying $50-$200 for a good mech or upgrade, but it better be worth the cash i lay out.
For those that would rage at this number keep it to yourself, It is not my fault you are to cheap or "cash-strapped" lol.
Game makers need to make money and GOOD customers dont mind spending money IF we get a product worth the money.

love the warrhammer think it defined bt for so long thats its the icon.then its the timberwolf/madcat i think if they updated it enough to make a better version that would allow it to be in game im all for it.i think we need a battlemaster as something other that a atlas for everyone to take cause the command mods on it make it worth wild.
