It looks like MLas has a 2 second beam time with a 4 second recycle time, while MPLas has a 1 or 1.5 second beam time with a 3 second recyle time.

The gauss rifle is a small white blur, fires twice in the first combat scene (0:54 and 1:00).

And agreed that it doesn't really sound like a gauss rifle. The *pew* doesn't fit. Should be more of a sharp crack with a bit of a rumbling boom mixed in.

Edit: Ninja'd while typing.

alot of things happening in 0:54 the driver shoot his gauss, while he got hit by a PPC at the same time, you see the small silver bolt on the right that's the gauss, while the helix type on the left is the PPC

Near the end, I really enjoyed seeing the cockpit view of a small/scout mech darting around super fast and getting a few quick shots off - That perfectly illustrates how fun or awesome a scouting mech can be to pilot! I do have to say that the gauss rifle had too much of a "pew pew" sound to it. Hopefully they refine that sound and make it to be more of a rail gun sound.

Expected to see a 2 second long interrupt of Paul leaning back in a chair, laughing maniacally.

But it's in the wrong voice and it should be "All systems: Nominal". =-/

ROFL at Cat pilot @1:50.

"Hey, why use LRM's? Let me not only chase into short range, but turn my back to 2 enemies, including an Atlas with 8 ML's!"

....it was the K2 variant, that has ppcs instead of lrms.

Charging with a Catapult still isn't a good idea, even if it's the K2 we're talking about...

If so, that makes even less sense.

PPC's have a minimum range of 90m. He couldn't have even fired them.

I'm real happy about the things I'm hearing about this game. I especially want every weight class to be useful and a part of the game's strategy and overall team success. It will disappoint me if 1 class is best or rendered worthless, which was the case in previous MW games.(You basically only used lighter Mechs until you got up to Assault, then you had no reason to ever touch them again)
