Gives the Centurions SRM4 quirks but enlarges their tube counts to 15s and 20?

Wat?

Same deal with Kintaros. Quirks are SRM4 and LRM 5, but tube counts are huge!

Most mechs have had their tubes increased to account for the dynamic loadout representations. SRM4 is what's buffed, but nothing is stopping you from equipping larger launchers to puke out missiles up to the max tubes available.

Not most. If you look at Smurfy, even more mechs, like the Shadow Hawks, Victors, and Stalkers, still retain their 5, 6 and 10 launchers. Which is why it is surprising to change the Centurion of all mechs.

I must admit that I didn't hear about such changes beforehand.

Remarkably, max tubes on the Griffin were 20/10/10/10...which I always thought was a bit insane for a 55 tonner...but whatever...

As I understand it, PGI farmed out the Quirk system to someone they could pay in C-bills (not to be confused with Canadian money). Which is why about 75% make no sense.

They were changed when the dynamic hardpoints were added with the release of the Centurion-AH.

I had to point this out to smurfy to fix it in his thread, and he addressed it.

The Kintaro was like that from day 1 (it already had the dynamic hardpoints), and I've said before that the Kintaro is a more prolific missile boat due to its flexibility (and it's flawed for being rather large)... although the Griffin is better overall for that role...

The Centurion change should have been expected... very similar to the Trebuchet when they got the same treatment, in addition to the hero.

Does that mean I can expect similar change to the Shawk at some point? Cause that baby could Lurm way better than the Cent, pre-LRM5 GH link.

Potentially.

well, remember the CN9 JUST got it's geometry pass. So it probably got a few "buffs" based on telemetry. It was also one of the first non-Paul era changes.

Maybe. There are some visual issues it has (ASRM4 shows 6 tubes instead of 4). Still, you are better off with a Griffin than a Shadowhawk if you wanted to Lurm.

Phoenix Pack mechs already got the dynamic visual hardpoints, so it doesn't need revising... technically.

It's under a different menu listing. He moved them into a separate section due to the mech list growing.

I am pretty sure the tube count increase on the centurion came with the geometry upgrade done when the Cent-AH dropped and thus is completely unrelated to the quirks.
