I hope that is sarcasm. Why? I give you as an example a match of today:
Map: Alpine
Position: We had to attack uphill
At the start I asked? Do we charge the hill.
Answer: "go for it"
So, some mechs took position on the smaller hill to shoot at the flank while we were charging up the hill...or so I thought. We faced pretty much all of their team on the hilltop. We were shot to pieces and I was a bit flabbergasted because there should be more mechs of us.
I checked the map and saw that about half of our mechs must have turned around to sit cozily at the smaller hill flanking the big one at G9.
Don't get me wrong, 2-3 mechs are ok to draw some attention to the flank and relief the main force...but not half the mechs. That is plainly dumb.
Clearly the tards at G9 had more skill

Just because you lived longer and did more damage, does not mean you did better. Your recitence to be more aggressive *may* actually be a contributing factor to a team mate (or two's) death.
Your personal score IS NOT the way you decide wether you have done well or not. The team result is all.
Sometimes the dead rager may well just be an idiot, but also sometimes he may be right and you definitely should take on board what he/she has to say. In a team game, your actions or inactions help decide other's fate.
If you are getting raged at a lot, the answer may well lie with you and what you do. It might be wise to consider that possibility.

That way I can say something like "fugg all you cowards hiding in this deathtrap, Im pushing."
if they push with me we win, if not, I gg and leave them to their wipe

your example is irrelevant
I can get massive scores in pugs by using my team as a wall, allowing them to die while I retreat to maximize my damage. <<<< This is what he was picturing I think.
I can also help my team by holding the fuggin line, or better yet, actually pushing.

But anyway, people complain too much. In fact, people talk too much. Most of the time, no one wants to hear your "brilliant advice" or anything else you have to say really. Do everyone a favor and just shut it.

they lack patience, also they seem to believe that if they are not the spear the team has no hope. early deaths give them time to criticize others rather than evaluating their own performance.
but, as is every other game out there, mwo is hardly unique to this.

Obviously, it isn't, but they would like to think that they are. If only it wasn't for the "noob team" they were stuck with, they'd be snuffing out the Clan Invasion by themselves. Or so they believe.
Just got ridiculed by one of these "experts". He was spouting the usual diatribe of how "the team" was crap and was the sole cause of his demise in the first few minutes. I called him on it and he proceeded to talk crap about how my use of cover while my weapons cycled was "cowardly" and that I should "get out and fight instead of hiding", despite me taking on an assault lance by myself and causing 600+ damage. My match score was also almost twice his.
I would find it hilarious if it wasn't so constant. Seems every game the pile of dead guys just starts hurling BS statements about how bad the rest of the team is. Maybe it was a bad matchup. Maybe there were lots of newer players. Maybe stop to think before typing out profanity-laced insults. Maybe take a look in the mirror?
/rant
Nah, his perception is probably that because real teams go after the assaults and heavies first. Every time I bring in an Assault I am nailed by everything they have...
One thing I cannot figure out is why when I suggest it, no one bothers to utilize some simple tactics than can make ALL the difference in a game.. first ECM.. When on defense use COUNTER MODE so your LRM guys can lock onto targets.
Second, go for their ECM mechs FIRST. Take them out so those with missiles can actually use them...
But no, everyone likes to do their own thing...

This is the internet, thick skin required. I usually just rant in the chat, sometimes politely, sometimes not so,in the hopes that sometime in their MWO-career,atleast some of the friendlies might realize that their approach to said situation was not the best one.

The main problem is that the ones going on the mindless rants just don't sit back and think. Would be awesome if we could just hit a button and mute the offender instead of just shutting down all textbased comms. Like a voting process.. "Who wants (target player) to revoke their text rights for the remainder of the battle?" and if it's over half a unanimous vote.. (excluding the offender's vote) the offender gets muted, yay! Might be a bit much but.. nothing's perfect.
Only if we get a voting option for when the last light alive is shut down in a corner to preserve their KDR to force an auto-eject from their mech. 75% of remaining players in their team, still in match, as the cutoff. That many votes for it, the light dies. Deal?
(We can maybe throw in another stipulation that the mech be outside of it's maximum weapon range from the nearest enemy mech, while still powered on. Will cut out those cowards with Mlas running and hiding forever, but still allow the ERLL carriers to keep kiting with no fear of being 'judged' by the system. Maybe throw in a minute or two minute "has not damaged an enemy" timer too.)

i don't see the problem, leave the match, get another mech, queue again, not like you will miss some assist or something if they hide at the corner
it's their right to do w/e they want, i personally understand those who hate to give enemy exp and their worth in c-bills and don't like to suicide either
also why not to play conquest, it gives the most c-bills anyway and hiding there sometimes is the way to win the game/earn more c-bills... though sometimes you will make your enemy worse if you, when you cannot win by germanium, suicide, either yourself or of another mech, you will deny them a decent share of money from germanium and also 70 exp for 750 germanium win

The "says the guy who's already dead" comeback is pathetic. The majority of time they're dead because you abandoned them or didn't carry your weight. The last time I heard that I was in a full lance of lights that bumped into a Direwolf, they bailed whileI stayed to fight. Yeah I'm dead...because I faced down 6 ac5s by myself while you ran and hid.
I guess my point, if you can call it that, is yeah some people just ***** but you probably should pay attention to why they're bitching. Put your pride away and accept you ****** up and learn from it.
***** is censored but bitching isn't. Neat.

It's always easier in a heated moment to blame the "other guy".
That said, we all know the guys you are talking about and nothing I said above applies to them. They're just stupid.

Some examples of yesterday's games:
1) Canyon Network. I was in brawler build at defensive position at the bottom of the hill - was not even performing suicide attack on it! The whole team was at the upper edge behind me. Snipers? Nope. Half of enemy team was able to safely get out cover without taking any backfire and killed me. What was my team doing? Simply hiding? Noobs? Bots? Who knows...
2) Canyon Network. I was in same position, my team was again at upper edge behind me. Light pop at the right flank. Literally the whole team gone chasing him, leaving me along against whole enemy team. Noobs? Yeah.
3) HPG Manifold. I was in sniper build, successfully firing at enemy team from right flank. Pulled 2/3 of enemy team on me and was holding them for about a minute. What were other 11 players on my team doing? Drinking coffee?
You know. When I see, that enemy team are able to easily attack me and focus fire on me, due to not taking enough backfire from my team, that should hold them and force them to take cover - I consider my teammates are noobs or just bad players, who don't know, how to actually play this game.
