Pulling 200-300 damage games
XL255, 2mpl, BAP, 4JJ, MPL Cooldown Mod.
VERY fun on mining collective.
Run and gun, that burn time is great for drive-bys.

It was definitely outclassed by the Anansi (I guess that didn't take much anyway). I am curious though how it works now with all the mpl quirks, especially with the mpl modules.

This. Spiders with less than max JJ's makes me sad. Screw the ER LL. Grab some MPLs and fly.

Cool video.
The 5V is still the worst of all of the Spiders, but being able to launch yourself into the air on command is kind of hilarious. Sadly, if you try to do it to close targets, you won't be able to aim down far enough, and any range you can actually hit them at is beyond the ideal range of your weapons AND just makes you an airborne target instead of a land-based one. One that moves on a predictable trajectory and is unable to turn until it touches down again.

Yeah, it's amongst the worst mechs in the game, but it's still fun. You know, that thing we're supposed to play games for? Oh, wait, I forgot, MWO, all seriousness, all the time. No fun allowed.

LOL just remebered conquest on crimson straights I went to the huge ceneter hill top first thing, wrote DFA!!!!! In the chat, artied kappa, and jumped to full heighth into the midst of their team barely took any damage and ended the game as the sole survivor with 2 kills. This mech has potential for the best No Sh*** Given playstyle ever.

The 5V has really improved with the quirks. Get 2 MPL and the biggest engine possible, then run into the enemy team and go berserk. 25% bonus to range, cooldown and burn time is just insane.
And you can improve it with modules. Don´t have the modules yet, but I will get them, when I have enough XP.
The 5V is still not as good as the Spider-5D or the Firestarter but at least it is viable now. And it is lots of fun.
