I don't even...
1. Clan AMS does not require specific module to mount. You meant omni-pods. It is simply a decision between more firepower or missile defense. Given how most Clan mechs got extra hardpoints coming out of their arses compared with IS mechs, I think they can sacrifice few of the hard points to grab an AMS.
2. Lore wise, Clans did have more AMS ammo per ton, which was why IS AMS had only 1000 ammo per ton in MWO while Clans had 2000 ammo per ton. Gradually PGI realized that balance > lore, so they brought IS ammo to 2000. Your request of 3000 AMS ammo per ton is simply silly.

You created a thread to basically ask so that you do not need to free up 1/2 a ton on your mech.
If having 0.5 tons of extra AMS ammo means the difference between life and death, you might want to concider freeing up half a ton.

me to on my 3 tons of AMS ammo Jester :< I am glad that they made the IS AMS actually viable with 2k per ton. Makes running AMS on the IS side of things actually worth it. Game balance is nice, Clans are still freaking OP..
Cept when they run into my 6 Small laser Locust that has an AMS on it

I carry that in my Kit Fox.
I carry AMS on my Dire Wolf.
I was hopefully thinking it might encourage more clan AMS, like how the IS increase is there to promote IS AMS.
Yes, I got module and Omni-pod confused. Sorry. The point is, many Clan mechs can't mount an AMS at all without not taking some weapon hardpoints, or in some cases, only some variants have access since it's in the CT. Why not promote AMS usage in clans a bit?
If they don't want to, fine. I'm throwing it out there for a debate. I usually play IS mechs anyway. I just see the lack of AMS out there in the clans, and thought that perhaps there needs to be more incentive to take it.

Would they not require an Energy slot to mount. The OP dude wants his extra stuff for FREE dawg. No extra weight or crits, just FREE.

Nope every clan mech should get one for free anyway if you listen to the some of the hype

2.5? I run 4 tons and I know people who run up to 6 tons (yes with 3x AMS).
We definitely need an ON/OFF switch. I will go through 1 ton lickety split and not one of those frigging missiles was actually aimed at me most Matches. I heard about this thing called Cover...

We now have the on/off switch. Use the arrow keys to move down to your AMS and right control to turn them off. Just like adding them to a weapon group.
There may also be a hot key but I never bothered to check, usually don't take them on my clan mechs
