Damon Howe doesn't speak for himself. He pointed out, non-specifically, that the 1st RDR, the SoR, Isengrim, and the Iron Serpent have all taken this suggestion under consideration and decided against it. Mech the Dane pointed that out nearly a week ago. If the 1st Hussars want to absorb units to form a single mega unit (as an example, Like Comstar or SRoT) then they should look to enlisting the smaller units, or pushing a stronger recruitment program forward.

@Abivard
Whoa whoa whoa, let's not reignite that flame war here and stay focused on the discussion at hand.
Dane and representatives from the other groups are working on an FRR governing council which is a good start.
We still have to wait and see how CW plays out. Truth be told I'm a bit cynical here so I really don't think our chances are too good at this moment. If we do get stomped I hope that by that time we can work on forming a super alliance but again that depends entirely on how CW plays out.
Stay tuned.

This never was about our unit absorbing anyone - period. I'm actually somewhat offended you even drew that conclusion based off of everything that was said here. This was, and still is about recognizing the serious problem we potentially face given what we know so far about CW.
As stated above Dane and other representatives are working out details on forming a governing council.

I think Boom was speaking metaphorically more than anything Tabu.

Hmm, no there wasn't anything metaphorical there. It was an ignorant statement. He's entitled to his opinion though.

Let me just state, as founder and ex-CO of the 1st H that unequivocally we have NO interest in absorbing everyone or really anyone else. My primary goal in terms of participation in this thread was ensuring that the relatively small number of competitive players we have and the overwhelming number of casual/semi-casuals we have could function effectively with other units. In fact, in our private discussion with the other leaders one of my FIRST points was that I believed all units should have their unit sovereignty as a priority.
This was widely agreed upon.
So let's cut the idle speculation and erroneous thoughts please. Moreover this is already in the hands of high level members of the respective units involved so it really doesn't merit additional discussion in this thread, IMO.
