hey guys i was wondering when mechwarrior online is as popular than most mmorpg or better than world of warcraft could anyone continue the rest of battletech animated by contacting the makers of the series
because they could not finish due to the expensiveness on the episodes?

it would be really awesome if someone could make a more ...adult version of the series and closer to the fluff, dont forget guys its a kids cartoon alot of the fluff probably got stripped for the sake of the kiddies
So, what we need is to find the crew that made ExoSquad and have them make a new BattleTech/Mechwarrior animated series?
(For the uninitiated, the whole series is on Hulu... )
if someone made a serious attempt with modern animation and didnt focus it at small children it might do ok. but no american company would take the risk, and japanimation studios concider the genre blasphemy compared to robotech, gundams ect. it would be a long hard road to getting the funding.
i hope not. that series was a total failure as both lore and animation
NOW at this time yes. When we did not know better, I loved it. For a child to see a cartoon go from regular graphics to GCI blew my mind. If we could get a reboot with updated graphics & accurate lore, I would giggle like a schoolboy.
In spite of what you guys think now as adults, for me that opening from Episode 1 was EPIC!
"ATTENTION SOMERSET! I am Star Colonel Nicolai Malthus of the Jade Falcon Clan, a full trinary stands ready to conquer your planet. What forces DARE oppose us?"
"Is this some kind of joke?"
"You DARE to refuse my batchall?"
"Refuse your what?"
"Prepare to feel the wrath of the Falcon's Claws!"

I don't know what you are watching these days, but I have two young boys, and I watch everything they watch. There are some really high quality cartoon programs going on right now. Clone Wars being at the top of the list. Yes I let my young boys watch Clone Wars. This is real life and I refuse to raise a couple of liberals.
This, imho parents are becoming overprotective. guns and violence exist in the real world. heck i played duke nukem when i was 5 years old (didnt last too long but i did for a bit)
The cartoon was OK. I never got to see all the episodes.
What I want is a B-T Movie.
Some film producer out there, right now, owns the rights to a Battletech Movie...and hasn't made it yet.
Can you believe that? Money in the bank right there just waiting to happen.
It's a fun show, but, honestly, it was pretty bad in quality. I probably would have to skip a handful of episodes that were just terrible and unbearable to watch.
The final episodes and some of the later ones towards the end of the season were more bearable if not redeemable. The writers probably began to improve on their flaws while writing them if anything.
BTW- is the voice actor for the black guy the same voice actor for Ice from jagged alliance? Anyone know? just a thought...
I still don't get how that series could have been so frigging campy and bad . .
I mean . . look at the damned video game intros! Make it like that! Success!
Hey, don't forget that they did a sequel to Robot Jox - Crash and Burn. And that was with 80's era special effects! These days we could slam together enough polygons to make this workable as a real show, no worries.
I didn't even know there was a cartoon series until last November. It looks really bad, so I'm probably going to give it a miss but I'll get behind a restyled show!
Have you seen the MWLL Intro?
If some dedicated fans can get something like that out, just THINK about what a studio of people being paid to do it could do!

I'm sorry, but it isn't "good" by any definition of the word that I use.
But are you using a definition of 2012 good, or 1994 good? I see a lot of people complain about the quality... but for 1994 and probably a good bit of the budget going to CGI, which you can bet was probably damn expensive and tedious to do in 1994. Hell our PC games were Doom II, tie fighter and heretic, the early CGI animation was pretty damn good for a weekly KIDS show.
as a kid, I loved the cartoon. But the toys are what did it for me, to point where I just recently got my hands on them again for my collection. Some of the best toys ever made. Instead of rehashing the cartoon, why not make a comic for Btech or even some 2d animated series. Lord knows how easy it is to animate something nowadays compared to 18 years ago. Fans! get on this! I've been wanting to do a btech comic myself for a long time
