... and honestly none of my go-to mechs got much for positive quirks. I'm just appreciating the battlefield diversity of mechs and loadouts. I run Jager -S and -A, Shadowhawk 2D2 and 2K, HGN 733C, and Raven 3L as my main mechs and none got huge boosts, but it's tons of fun actually seeing Dragons and Awesomes out there, Thunderbolts, Hunchies, and other previously less-than-steller mechs instead of just the usual 2-3 'viable' mechs per class.

Probably some of the benefits will get tweaked as some get extreme as the fast-fire skill, level five cool down module and high end quirks stack to result in some insane ROF's, but I appreciate the new diversity in the matches and like seeing the new mechs and having to rethink how I assess the danger on the battlefield.

Quirks are definitely a step in the right direction for helping to diversify the mechs taken.

As long as they're always built the "right" way...

Diversity does not usually consist of merely changing uniforms.

Well if we are doing this for $hits and giggles then AC20 quirks for Raven 4X would be kind of awesome.

I agree!

Many of my old paperweights are viable again. Enemies are far more varied and challenging. Mediums seem to be the most prolific robots on the battlefield! All good things.

I've also been seeking out some of the mechs with the most whining attached to them, in an attempt to ascertain whether or not the sky actually is falling. So far I'm yet to find anything that can directly compete with a StormCrow, TimberWolf or DireWolf. They're still the best a what they do, IMHO, and what they do ain't pretty.

I like that the quirks are making other 'mech variants useful. It actually makes having different 'mech variants matter.
